Extract of sample "Selling the Abarth"

When he closed his eyes and almost started to kiss the woman, he suddenly realizes that what he was about to kiss was an Abarth car. The theme matches the editorial environment because the advertisement is about a car. Therefore, it should be just right for the advertisement to place the setting on the road. The ad personality matches the product because as mentioned earlier, although cars are made for males and females, the projected customers for this certain kind of car are males. The car is juxtaposed with a beautiful woman.

The woman’s dress is of the same color and design as that of the car and this emphasizes the symbolism used in the advertisement. As a man desires a woman, that is how he desires the car. The ad also implies that the car is as beautiful as a woman. The unexpected end of the advertisement caught my interest and attention. I think it is cleverly done and makes the ad stick in the viewers’ memories. I do not use the product but I sure would love to have one of in the very near future.
