Reflection over Journal Experience - Essay Example

I have learnt, through journal entries, that I have not been caring for the sustainability of the environment. But since I started writing journal, I have decided to change many aspects of my life, like taking a cloth bag to the grocery store instead of using plastic bags; using energy saver bulbs at home instead of tube lights for most of the time; putting off microwave and television instead of putting them on standby mode; using water bottles that are reusable; purchasing a car that has more mileage on gas; composting my grass clippings instead of putting them in plastic bags and throwing them away; turning off extra lights at night and also during the day; and, reusing things like office papers and clothes.

  I want to do so because I have understood the importance of a sustainable environment. Hence, my journal writing has invoked sustainable thinking within me, which is good not only for the environment but also for me as a living being.
