Download file to see previous pages In order to evaluate the feasibility of the current external environment for the development of a new board game and to know the different marketing challenges, it is necessary to analyze various political, economical, socio-cultural, and technological factors.
The United States has a stable political spectrum with two major political parties including Democratic Party and Republican Party. The current US president Barack Obama is from the Democratic Party. Obviously, United States of America is one of the powerful countries in the world and the Federal Government has considerable influence on the global economy. Hence, the political landscape offers some potential opportunities for the development of a new board game in the country. As Johnson points out, the country has been struggling with gang crimes for the last few decades; and the costs associated with the prevention of gang crimes impose huge economic burden on the US government. In addition, such issues have been threatening the country’s social safety. A number of social and psychological studies have pointed out that lack of entertainment activities is the major reason why youth are increasingly turning to gang and gun crimes. Therefore, the Federal Government is likely to support a new board game proposal in the country. Evidently, throughout its history the US government has greatly promoted sports and games in the country. It is clear that board games do not pose any threat to environmental sustainability. Hence, the proposed project is likely to obtain authoritative approvals. Since the US political spectrum gives great emphasis on national security, the proposed project may obtain a secure business environment in the country.
The United States has a capitalist mixed economy, which possesses plentiful natural resources, highly developed infrastructural facilities, and high rate of productivity.
