The human resource managers at the business organizations are in charge for motivating the employees in order to keep them content with their jobs and to achieve maximum output from their skills and abilities. The process of motivating employees is intricate and it is often based on the compensation of the total work performed by the employees for the organization (Petcharak, 2002). This report consists of a brief overview of the different methods adapted for creating motivation among the employees and the factors that directly impact the motivation of the employees.

The foremost aim of this report is to describe the vitality of the motivation for the hospitality organizations in order to provide quality services to their customers and earn augmented profit by the best utilization of the skills of their employees. The following section encompasses the brief overview of various methods of motivation which are most frequently utilized by the business organizations to motivate their employees and improve the overall financial performance of the organization.

Business organizations of present times adapt various methods for motivating their employees; all the tactics utilized for motivation can be largely classified into two categories including Financial Motivation and Non – Financial Motivation. Both these categories act as powerful force to attain yield and value out of each employee of the company. Human resource manager can find diverse ways for motivating the employees, so that the employees feel a push for performing at their level bests at the work place.

Although some experts are of the opinion that money is not a durable motivational tool because the motivational impacts generated by the financial rewards are short lived (Cummings, 2002) yet the most frequently used motivational tactics in modern day organizations are financial rewards and monetary incentives.
