Different motivational strategies are necessary to motivate different employees. Employees usually come from diverse environment and therefore their requirements could be different. In other words, custom made motivational strategies are necessary to motivate employees.
Another important aspect of motivation is the discrepancy between what we want, value expected versus what the job really provides. If there is less discrepancy between them, then the employee is more motivated. If there is a great discrepancy between them, then the employee feels underrated or demoralized.
