One can just imagine the choices social beings have with all the advantages of working in the comfort of one’s home and with very little expenses associated with this type of electronic social interaction. The astounding success of Facebook was exemplary in terms of achieving an enormous growth in user registrations over five years. Although its origin was traced in February 2004, reaching the 200 millionth user within an eight month period was unparalleled. In an article written by Brad Stone in The New York Times published on March 28, 2009 entitled “Is Facebook Growing Up Too Fast?

”, the author averred that despite the fast growth in users, this social network is currently bombarded by criticisms on its recent design and terms of service update: “which turns a majority of every users home page into a long "stream" of recent, often trivial, Twitter-like updates from friends.” (Stone, 3) This prompted a serious evaluation of the allegations weighing the effects of the new layout and terms of service as against Facebook’s commitment to “make the act of sharing - not just information about themselves but what people are doing easier, faster and more urgent.
