The business world in the 21st century has become a competitive landscape in which professionals must improve its skills in order to stay ahead of the curve. As young businessperson I have strong passion for the challenges and opportunities available for workers that reach the executive business level. In order to obtain the preparation needed to succeed in the business world at higher levels it is imperative to attain a graduate degree in business. Choosing the right college it very important since a graduate degree is an investment in time and money.

The college that I have selected is considered by many experts as the world top business school. I am applying to Harvard Extension School management program. I have always had a passion for business. Even when I was little girl I would manage my own lemonade stand outside my school. My formal college education is a bachelor’s in business administration from Babson College. I have always place a high level of importance in engaging in activities that will help my professional development. As a young adult prior to starting college I polished my technical writing skills by working as the editor my high school’s year book.

My work experiences have allowed me to develop my technical skills in the fields of accounting, finance and marketing. My interpersonal skills have improved a lot by working in different dynamic environment and team settings. I participated in a student run entrepreneurial venture as part of first year curriculum. From here, I learned a lot about “team work”, meaning how to listen and accept other people’s ideas even when you have disagreement, and I was able to bring this back to the various internships later on.

I performed some of my internships in international settings such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States. These opportunities allowed me to become a professional with the ability to adapt to different challenging environments. I am currently working as a Finance intern with Fidelity investment. My high ethical standards and work ethic has helped me perform my job duties at a high performance level. I am person that gives my best effort to whatever I do life including my personal, studies, and work obligations.

It is important to be passionate about one’s affairs in order to display a positive attitude that can motivate and inspire others colleagues. The Harvard Extension Program is a prestigious college education opportunity that will transform my life forever. It will give me a change to interact with some of the top minds in the world who will be guiding me towards me becoming a better person and more knowledge professional. I learned at work that it is imperative for a business organization to have good communication.

During my future tenured as graduate student at Harvard Extension School I will try my best to express my ideas with others and listen to what my classmates, professors, and other employees of the University have to say at all times. A master degree will provide me with the business training I need to succeed in life. My motivation for this academic goal is to improve my mind in order to understand and become a solution maker that implements the right strategic plans to make an enterprise succeed in the long term.

The Harvard Extension Program is created so that students are exposed to latest business information in innovative ways such as business game simulations in an online learning environment. I want to get chance to share my life and professional experiences with other fellow students that have similar goals and aspirations. Pursuing a higher degree of education is a way for a person to open the doors of opportunity in life and in the business world.
