It also believes in instilling the entrepreneurial fortitude within learners through providing best educational practice (Pepperdine University,” Mission Statement”). I, as an individual also believe in following my dreams through attaining value-providing learning experience from the educational course which I undertake. I want to develop my leadership skills through undertaking such a course which provides me not only invaluable learning experience but also facilitates me to demonstrate courage, compassion and integrity throughout my professional career. I have realized that these attributes are the key aims or mission of George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management, which has significantly attracted me to apply for Master of Science in Global Business course (Pepperdine University, “Mission Statement”). The opted M.S. program of Pepperdine University i.e. Master of Science in Global Business offers a number of key characteristics which have motivated me to apply to the Graziadio School. The entire program is of 15-month duration offered at the local Malibu campus of the institute along with abroad. A key characteristic of the program is that it enables to learn fundamentals related to global business. It facilitates the learner to launch his/her career in international business periphery through allowing them to spend a particular trimester in a foreign location. Another vital alluring characteristic is that this program is invaluable for individuals possessing limited work related experience. As I do not possess extensive work experience especially of working in a foreign country, thus this course can facilitate me to give my career a new direction and subsequently fulfill my personal goals. This course would also enable me to have an in-depth understanding of the global economy along with its markets. It also would offer me an opportunity to learn a number of new aspects through sharing knowledge and understanding with the peers during my course as bestowing a supportive academic community environment is a key feature of this particular M.S. program (Pepperdine University, “Master of Science in Global Business”). This will enable me to develop my social skills as well which will in turn be extremely valuable for me if I intend to work in diverse cultures in future. Therefore, such significant and invaluable characteristics have motivated me to apply to the Graziadio School. Question 2 I am interested in Master of Science in Global Business program to further enhance my academic and professional experiences in order to extend my knowledge and skills for pursuing my career in financial areas. As far as my educational qualification is concerned, currently I am a student of Iowa State University majoring in Finance. Apart from my academic interest, I have also enjoyed involving in several extra-curricular activities. In relation to enriching my extracurricular involvement my work as a member of student union has immensely helped me to understand the significance of teamwork and further taught me essential skills necessary for establishing sound interpersonal relationship. During my school years, I had also been assigned with a task of monitoring the activities of other students on nationally important dates and occasions. It was a unique experience for me that helped me to understand the importance of human resource management. I was also engaged in volunteer fund raising program for earthquake victims in Japan. Contextually, as a part of my working experience, I have worked in SDIC CGOG Futures Co., Ltd as trade associate since July 2011 in Shanghai, China. Here, I am required to deal with the daily futures trade to make forecasts where I assist in building financial model to make analysis of futures. Prior to this, I have worked in ZongDa Petroleum Chemical Industry Co, Ltd at Ningbo in China as a Salesman Associate. It was a great experience working here as I obtained an opportunity to interact with various customers and enhance my communication skill. Furthermore, working in ZhongDa helped me to understand the concept of marketing and its related principles that I have learnt as my academic discipline. I had worked also in Agricultural Bank of China as a Loan Manager Associate at Ningbo in China where I got an opportunity to learn and acquire knowledge about the functioning of bank. These professional experiences together with academic learning and extracurricular activities have indeed fascinated me to further acquire in-depth knowledge of business particularly in finance. I firmly believe that through my professional skills combined with my academic learning and extracurricular activities, I can make vital contribution in my intended program and share my experience with my classmates to further enhance the efficiency of the proposed study. Question 3 In addition to this, through my college education and work experience that I have gained over the past years, I have been able to build a comprehensive understanding of various concepts of business such as investment, forecasting and communication. Thus, I believe that my personal qualities, academic and extracurricular achievements as well as my work experience with various business firms shall make me an ideal student for the program of Master of Science in Global Business at George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management. I have a genuine interest and passion for the program and I am keen towards knowing day-to-day business and finance related activities prevailing around the globe. Moreover, the duties I have performed over the years have immensely affected my viewpoints towards business and accounting. I have realized that Finance is not just recording a data but it is more than that which requires collection, analysis and tactful as well as accurate interpretation of relevant financial information. In modern day context role of finance is crucial in every aspect of personal and professional life. I feel that my leadership qualities together with working experience shall lead towards creating team spirit among my classmates to make the proposed program of the university more valuable. For instance, the communication skills that I have developed while working as Salesman Associate shall help me to establish enhanced communication and interpersonal relationship with other students in the university that shall in turn help us to make collaborated contribution to the university research activities along with the overall proposed program. I believe that my dedicated interest of acquiring skills and in-depth knowledge of business shall motivate other students to contribute their best towards increasing the efficiency of the proposed program along with accomplishing their respective long-term and short-term goals. My dedication and keenness towards learning business and finance in the university shall ultimately lead the university to achieve its mission of producing world class leaders. Question 4 I firmly believe that every individual has his own strengths and weaknesses that lead towards success and failure of an individual. Contextually, in my opinion life is more like a learning experience where effectively being able to recognize one’s own strengths and weaknesses can indeed help us to become a better person in any activities that we intend to perform. Our positive attitude shall contribute towards our success while negative attitude in certain areas need to be sharpened and improved continuously. Thus, knowing oneself provides us with an opportunity to identify and overcome weaknesses that we hold in ourselves and constantly consolidate our strengths to combat with more challenging situations that we may have to confront with, in our lives. My greatest strength that I have recognized has been my ability to be a well structured person. Over the years I have worked towards enhancing my ability through rationally planning and performing my activities. Moreover, I am easily able to mingle with other persons close to me and influence them with my dedicated attitude. However, often I have the tendency to engage in a number of activities at a single time that at times leads me to lose my focus from my work. Contextually, my cumulative GPA is not much impressive and is quite low to be 3.71 only. I consider the prevailing low grade in my academic curriculum to be one of my failures. I did not realize that multiple activities at a single time cannot be managed effectively. It has taught me a new lesson that one work at one time help an individual to perform his task with perfection while involvement in several works at a single time renders work to be incomplete. Lately, but surely now I am aware of the importance of time management and further I shall keep in mind throughout my life that such mistakes are never repeated again at any point of my life.
