Personal ment Please describe your short-term (within five years) and long-term professional goals. How will your current professional experience contribute to these plans? What skill set will you need to achieve these goals? How will Hult International Business School help you attain these goals? Born of Serbian ancestry, I lived in Belgrade all my life. I am on my last (third) year at Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration and will be receiving my Bachelor of Science in Economics in June 2011.

My interest in business was spurred by the entrepreneurial experience accorded by my family’s own endeavor. I have acknowledged that a brighter future awaits if I pursue higher educational degrees in the field I am most interested in. Since the start of my bachelor degree, I have focused on delving in International Business at Hult International Business School due to the shared commitment for “personal growth, intellectual integrity, global sensitivity, local engagement, and civic values, so that students are able to flourish in the global economy and are empowered to contribute meaningfully to their business and community” (Hult: Mission, 2010).

In this regard, I am looking forward into changing cities to face new challenges and experiences. After completing Master of International Business, I plan to pursue a job in finance or real estate, concurrent with past experience in my family’s business. Likewise, after a few years of work experience, I am determined to return to Hult to pursue my MBA. For my long-term goals, there is this entrepreneurial drive to take over my familys real estate firm in Belgrade, pursuant to the encouragement of my parents.

Equipped with the theoretical framework and skills honed through the academe, I am determined to expand it and to seek new business opportunities to capture Balkans’ growing market. The course in International Business would effectively develop the needed knowledge and skills to venture into opportunities in the local market (initially) and eventually in global and emerging markets.My current course in Economics with focus on finance and administration would provide the theoretical background to indulge in higher education on an analogous field on endeavor.

As I have been part of our family business, I was exposed to the rigors of entrepreneurship, management, operations, and human behavior in organizations. These experiences, in conjunction with the academic framework, provide the impetus for making my plans viable and credible, both in the short-term and in the long-run.I am highly motivated to achieve, determined, hardworking and focused in achieving personal and professional goals. I learn easily, have developed my analytical and critical skills, and am continuing to hone communication and negotiation skills.

I am adept in two languages, English and French, in addition to my native tongue. I am optimistic in perspectives and am not easily swayed by challenges, trials and difficulties. I am aware that to successfully attain by goals, there is a need to hone my entrepreneurial skills focusing on management, leadership, conflict resolution, marketing strategies and operating in global organizations, aside from gaining expertise in economics and finance.I look forward to living in London because its financial capital in the world.

 I was given the privilege of gaining a 3- month summer internship at Mandalina real estate firm in Belgrade in 2010, to develop interpersonal relationship skills and take an active role in teambuilding.Hult International Business School has been known to produce only the best graduates from a roster of well-known business institutions. The multidisciplinary and hands-on approaches employed by Hult would be instrumental in developing the skills of students in a holistic perspective. Hult’s LEAP method approach, which focuses on high level exposure to diverse organizational scenarios, would foster and ensure the attainment of my identified goals.
