Child abuse has been a problem for the whole world from the very beginning. Recently this problem increased to such alarming states that it began costing the lives of different children residing in the world. And thus keeping this in mind different countries have launched different campaigns to stop the problem of child abuse. In 2003 the government of the United Kingdom launched a scheme known as ‘Every Child Matters’ which was aimed to stop the child abuse prevailing in the country. The case of Victoria Climbe can be marked as a revolution in the history of reforms for children. It prompted the government to understand the needs and requirements of the children in the world. As children grow up they have certain requirements which ought to be fulfilled and the scheme ‘Every Child Matters’ assures every child of his right.

The children ought to have their basic right to exercise different activities to ensure that their health is maintained. They require health facilities if they are undergoing any major problems with their health. The environment that the children are provided depends upon the state, parents, and the school, and thus this environment should be healthy. The scheme has made the concerned authorities aware of the necessities of these children. The societies in the UK have started working towards a better environment for the children. Different sporting events are organized by the scheme so that the children can participate and have a healthy routine. The schools in which the children are studying have an important obligation of maintaining the environment for the children. The status of these schools is supposed to be healthy for these children to study. These schools are also linked with specialist centers that provide the children with care and safety both. They give out specific instructions to the children about how to handle problems and what to do in certain conditions. Health is considered a major outcome of the scheme and more efforts are being made by the authorities to ensure a healthy environment for the children.
The scheme has worked immensely towards the benefit of the children and it is expected that the problem of child abuse would be greatly reduced if the strategies are implemented properly. Furthermore, it is expected that new reforms for children would be implemented to ensure that the children are safe from abuse.
