But some of them may also be subtle that even the teachers and administrators are not aware of. I am personally interested in finding out what these perspectives are and how they affect the learning environment in the classroom or school. I am very interested how these attitudes can also be identified, measured and prevented from having negative effects on the teaching environment and on students’ achievement. I observed that our schools today have more diverse student populations. Schools do not only cater to the students of the area but also to students from neighboring districts and even from different countries.

Teachers are also very mobile, and allowed and encouraged to teach in different schools to gain knowledge and experience. A few years ago, policy makers and school administrators are also pushing for mainstreaming, combining regular students with children with special educational needs. I wonder if these phenomena have some effect on teachers’ and administrators’ perspective on students. Can they suspend their judgment? And what are the effects if they cannot suspend judgment. I am interested in finding out how these perspective and attitude towards diverse students be kept at bay.

How are our teachers and administrators doing in suspending judgment in their classroom and in the school community? administrators’ perception affect how they teach, communicate, and assess their students. Teachers and Administrators are not expected to come from the same background as their students. I want to find out if their personal perspectives on students have an effect. I also want to find out if these effects are helpful and harmful. If harmful, what should be done to lessen such negative effects?

I expect to find out the common perceptions and misconceptions teachers and administrators have on their students. I expect to find out the reasons behind these perspectives. Is it difference of
