Data Collection: The data collection method I propose to use is a Likert style AIM questionnaire which will have several variables measuring verbal responses in numerical values in the range of 1 to 3, each response signifying a particular level of response. I propose to get these survey questionnaires completed by the students after they have been exposed to the demonstration on the art project. The numerical values collected can then be subjected to statistical analysis to determine results.
Threats to validity that are inherent in my design are history, testing, selection and experimenter bias. The Social and Cultural Contexts of Deviance

Generally, deviance is a behavior that is seen as harmful, disruptive, or criminal. However, it may come as the result of being statistically unique. This brings into question whether there can be positive deviance. For example, if a student got straight A+ grades, the Underachievers Club may view them like a deviant. As a group, they may place sanctions on them above and beyond what they would the average student. This illustrates the concept that deviance must be seen through the lens of the social or cultural context that it takes place in (Keel, 2008).
Social norms are the types of behavior that are established and maintained by society and are considered to be acceptable. Because deviance is the transgression of a norm a...

...Overview of Contemporary American Catholic Homiletic Theory and Practice Luke 4:16-21 The foundation moment in Christian preaching is written in Luke4:16-21, when Jesus went into the synagogue in Nazareth and stood up to read the scroll of the prophet Isaiah “and he begun by saying to them, ‘today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing’”. Analysis of the Methods of 3 Research Papers about Child Abuse

Research ethics was maintained as the identity of the individuals participating was kept secret. As far as the validity of the study was concerned, the researchers attempted to use content validity in order to get an accurate response. The content validity focused on measuring off the ethnicities and gender percentages within the area and attempting to get a random sample of individuals via the phone. Their approach to random calling allowed for a significant random sample in the study. There were a few issues, however, with this type of approach. Those answering the phone sometimes were not always the desired individual, and not all of the desired people were surveyed. Different replacements did have to be used, and the attempt w...

Entrepreneurial Learning

Focusing on those life experiences that actually ‘get in the way’ of entrepreneurial activities, it needs to be stressed that there are several ways in which learning or knowledge that is gained through these experiences affect not only the personality characteristics or traits but predominantly the orientation of people toward engaging in risk-taking and opportunity leverage business behavior. There are actually two ways in which life experiences can refrain individuals from being entrepreneurs; the first way refers to the practical dimension of entrepreneurship whereas the second one refers to the theoretical underpinnings of entrepreneurship (the orientation of the individuals themselves). Within the practical frame...

Hybrid Leadership: A Theory of Action

The challenge that is brought upon us by the status quo is a function of many factors. The budget is among them. Instruction quality is both a result and a contributor—and many more. Nevertheless, not all factors are immutable. There are still some that may be manipulated to produce a better outcome. We will do so through effective educational leadership.

It is best to start by evaluating the leadership practices we are employing all these years. As we favor the Kaizen philosophy, this is an opportune time to revisit our former approach to leadership then compare it with today’s practices and procedures with a rethink of our leadership styles so as to equip our organization with what it needs to move forward...

Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate social responsibility refers to the responsibility of an organization that focuses not only on optimum utilization of available resources, but also on ensuring its resources, processes, and products are not causing harm to the society at large, and also try to add greater value. However, the explanation of CSR is not limited to this thought and is perceived differently by different organizations, different groups of population and different regions of the world (Karake-Shalhoub & Karake, 1999).

A holistic understanding why organizations can have such lasting effect on the society may be drawn from Dawe’s (1970; p.214) explanation of sociology that identifies two distinct aspects, sociology of social...

Project Management of Beijing Capital International Airport T3 Terminal

Some stakeholders can be both driving (positive) and restraining (negative) forces, it depends on how the project will meet their interests. These forces are marked by a dotted line. If changes happen, and the project won’t meet the interests of some of these stakeholders, a vector of the corresponding force will be changed onto the opposite and the force will move onto the opposite part of the diagram.

Each half of the diagram (left and right) is divided into three parts – Low, Medium and High. It defines the size of a force vector and indicates the importance (power) of a given force. Short forces have a low level of power.

Economy and Social Activity of The Broken Hill Community

Soon a retail industry was built up and the community began to grow and is considered to be a society with a civic nature (Learning Communities in Education and Training, 2009). The community of Broken Hill can be considered to be highly diverse with a census that was conducted in the area in 1996 showed that out of the then population there were 961 people who came from overseas and a large amount of those was not from an English speaking nation. The large composition of the population in the community at the time was aboriginals or Torres Strait Islanders. Broken Hill thus shows a varying ethnic community and a diverse mindset considering a large proportion of the people are from nations such as Greece, Malta and even Italy (Lea...
