INTERVIEW REPORT PAPER Background of the Interviewee Marietta Solano Nationality: American-Mexican Age: 34 Educational Background: Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Social Work Three years in work Institution: Florida Healthcare Social Workers Association Position: Projects Manager According to the interviewee, she has been able to take the position through a screening process that has been handled by the inbound administration of the organization as she has been working as a regular social worker for at least a year and a half before she has actually been transferred to higher position. Through the years of her experiences in the lower level of employment in the business, she have further garnered the realization of the importance of her role as a social worker for the entire human community that they are supposed to give care for. In the process of providing the healthcare needs, Solano primarily noted the remarkable chance she had in assisting the young girls of a community in Florida to be vaccinated against cervical cancer which is noted to have killed at least 30% of the women population during the past few years as per noted through the statistical data collected by their organization. About the Public Health Issue in Concern Through the effective use of surveys and deep research regarding the matter, the researcher was able to come up with two major collected results. And these are as follows: Vaccinations for Cervical Cancer should be given to young girls ranging from 12 years old and above. More likely, parents might have doubts and preemptions that this would only encourage their children to become sexually exposed at such an early age. However, the fact that it is a necessary step to having healthier status in the future, such allegations must be set aside and instead teach the children of the morl-basics they should know about sexuality. This could prevent the immoral act more than what the non-vaccination option could do. (Sakda, 6). Cervical Cancer is among the top rating illnesses in the medical industry which has been reported to take at least 40% of annual deaths for women. This is the reason why vaccination to avoid this situation should be strongly implemented by social workers and in turn should also be widely accepted by the society. Of course, with an aim to preserve health, cooperation between people in the society is vital concept to consider (Del Rosario, 2,3). These two major findings mainly show the importance of the vaccination provided usually by the government to be able to take assurance of the health of the people in the community. The researchers were able to meet this certain conclusion based from "sample population" studies, which they referred to as the core "source of the study". Through the researches performed it had been cleared that vaccination activities are indeed helpful in lowering the rates of women having cervical cancer in their mid-30's. The fact that there is a certain importance placed upon the vitality of the vaccination, it should also be clear that even the governments have the responsibilities in providing their people with such services. This is in connection with their aim to continuously help their people develop healthy lives. On the other hand, the social preemption that young girls would be prone to sexual activities once they would be provided by the vaccination have been proven true, yet it could be solved through open and often parent- daughter counseling regarding matters connected with sexual activities. Indeed, there is also a vital role for parents when it comes to the effectiveness of the implementation of the vaccination matter. There are many advantages brought about by this vaccinating provisions. As Martin's study points out that "Vaccination of young girls aged 12 against the virus which causes cervical cancer cuts deaths from such diseases up to 75 percent. In this way, the lessened death rates help women to be able to enjoy their lives longer and be even more productive as well. OF ALL the diseases that afflict mankind, cancer is one of the most dreaded. And for good reason. It takes a staggering toll in bodily injury, heartache and death. Especially has this been the case in our twentieth century. Because of the nature of the disease, the person who finds out he has some form of it usually undergoes severe emotional stress. So do his loved ones. To some, having cancer is regarded as an automatic death sentence. Yet, while there has been improvement in treating cancer, is there any real hope of permanently conquering it soon Many medical authorities feel that the unprecedented attack now under way against cancer will someday produce a cure. The Canadian Cancer Society reports: "The research attack on cancer is the greatest and costliest single undertaking in medical history. The problem is so broad and so profound that virtually every branch of modern science is engaged in cancer research" (as quoted by Smith, 12). But with all this effort, from the medical standpoint a total cure for all types of cancer is not now in view. There have been no scientific "breakthroughs" that can give this hope. Yet, in spite of this, we can say that for a certainty this dreaded disease will be totally erased from the human family. Although this is a fact, accepting medical innovations such as the vaccination introduced for preventing cancer could be considered as a first step for obtaining cure. DECISION MAKING PROCESS Based from the researches that has been used by the organization in deciding on the program to push through with the project of giving a vaccination proceeding for a group of young girls in a target community, the project has been pursued and better handled so as to ensure that the organization has been a part of pursuing the health of the greater number of the population in the society for an aim that is geared towards a more healthy future for the young girls assisted through the said process. Conclusion From the interview observed herein, it could be noted that handling the healthcare needs of the human population residing in particular communities is an important part of the role that social workers play in the human communities at present. It could be observed that through the careful research that the organizations make, the decision on the major social work programs that they are supposed to handle become an easier task to handle. Apparently, as noted by the interviewee, they measure their decisions through the background studies that they are able to collect about the topics or the health issues that they are expected to address.
