Literature Review Recently there has been significant increase in the number of the television reality dating shows that are been aired in various television stations compared to other programmes. An average adult is said to be watch a television for a considerable fours a day and majority of this time they were found to be watching reality dating shows. Although watching the television is considered as a source of entertainment it has great influence on the viewer’s behaviour starting from their childhood days. For instance the brand of items that people buys is greatly influenced by what they watch on the televisions. Also their opinions about certain events are greatly shaped by what they watch on the televisions. The research also revealed that a lot of people tended to apply and base their feelings of love or hate about someone or a certain issue depending on what they view on the reality dating shows. A considerable sample of 601individuals who comprised of 413 viewers of the reality dating shows participated in the completion of this research. The outcomes of this research revealed a substantial variation between the groups which were interviewed and the precise variables which closely linked with the viewing of the reality dating shows. The research revealed various drives that make these individuals to watch the reality dating shows. These drives were social learning, excitability and as way of escape.
