Media as an Industry The media has been able to open doors for many careers, which contributes to the growth of others. The correspondents, musicians, developers, animators, makeup artistes, and engineers play an important role in the media entertainment (Healey, 2011, 94). In several entertainment media careers, there are specializations and with the growth of the industry, the demand for these professions is on the rise. With increment in the media channels, there is rise in the demand for advertising and the marketing professionals as well. Although the entertainment plays an important role in ensuring positive societal development, it could also contribute to numerous negative impacts on the society. The students and young generations waste time browsing the internet, listening to music, and watching movies of higher rates than their ages. The major factors contributing to the direct influence of internet on creative abilities of the children include susceptibility to the nude pictures, sex entertainment, and sex materials. Such kinds of materials on entertainment media tend to destroy the moral values (Amarnath, 2011, 98). Besides, such factors increased the level of sex crimes globally. The movie channels on the satellites and television networks often provide videos and drams with glamour, fashion, and sex motivating contents causing damages to the peaceful lives. In the movies, the scenes that contain violence often have negative effect on the young people as they try to react in a similar manner. Such factors contributed to the rising rates of terrorisms, violence, and crimes. The entertainment media play an important role in the modern society as a source that directly relates to the moral values of the people.
