Digital culture is less costly and time consuming Employment of digital culture requires less money and time Limitations such as money and time are now becoming less substantial to numerous groups of customers For instance, film segments are being made with devices that are affordable to many people The ease with which customers make new content has also grown Comprehensive understanding of computer programing is no longer necessary to make content online Discussing over the internet functions as a foundation to encourage users to sign up and make areas that share related pursuits through copied sources, original content, and repurposed content Digital culture is unbiased People can easily access the technology regardless of their age, sex, race, gender and tribe Digital media does not choose the language or the color of the person willing to use it, as long as they have the knowledge Technology has made work simpler for individuals especially in recording and storage of data Digital culture provides growing opportunities for everyone to sign up in their details Culture advertisement Digital culture provides an opportunity for people to advertise their cultures online If people see something worth mentioning about their societies, geographical positions, or their cultures they can freely post that online Thus digital media comes in handy for it gives people a platform to convey their messages. For instance, if someone wants to put up a demonstration on adultery or prejudice, internet is a good way of conveying the information Digital culture facilitates learning, sharing and socialization Social media networks such as Facebook, twitter, skyp, and you tube have created a platform where people can make new friends and chat with their old friends This kills boredom and keeps a person socially active without necessarily having to go outside and meet a person face-to-face Social networks have wider role in community development and in promoting social action and neighborhood co-operation Digital culture facilitates personal and national development Digital culture gives room for a person and a country to develop and become more educated and more acquainted with new things, current affairs, politics, fashion and even online jobs The more the technology advances the more a country becomes more developed and open to many options for development Improvement in digital media means improvement in industries, thus making work easier for people With digital culture an individual is guaranteed to improve their self esteem and confidence in facing the world Digital culture does not facilitates an enhanced opportunity for cultural citizenship in many ways Information in the internet is not of great importance to the youths Majority of the youths, when using digital media such as internet, dwell on extreme political information or on celebrity gossip or pornographic pictures and information These types of information the youth research, renders parents no option than to deny their children the permit to access digital media This therefore makes it hard for youths to participate in digital media, thus minimizing opportunities for cultural citizenship Technology development New technology is more advanced now in comparison to the old technology What most individuals did not even think could be actual a few years ago is now becoming a truth For instance, mobile phone devices as digital media now act more like computer systems, thus making them more complicated to use Digital devices, such as TV, films, and even some daily activities like using the elevator, have also progressed This has given customers an extensive range of confusing instructions on how to operate and access the devices Most people therefore prefer staying without some digital device, thus minimizing opportunity for cultural citizenship Digital media is expensive Digital media is more expensive as it grows and advances Buying a phone, television, computer and other electronics is almost impossible to an average earner and only the very rich can afford such commodities. Accessing the internet is also very expensive in some places In some cases retrieving information from the internet requires to be paid for, most people may prefer to stay without the knowledge, since they can’t afford it Digital culture minimizes cultural citizenship through culture jamming Cultural jamming is often seen as a form of subvertising Common techniques consist of re-figuring pictures, claims of style, and product pictures as a means to task the idea of what's awesome along with presumptions about the personal liberties of intake When digital media is used to subvertising information about a society or a person online then there lacks privacy of a society and trust issues arise among persons This means that people are not able to freely access the internet without feeling as if they are being discussed elsewhere Conclusion From the discussion, it can be concluded that digital culture facilitates enhanced opportunity for cultural citizenship Digital culture has major effect on the opportunities available for cultural citizenship through networking Networking provides a platform in which people can interact with each other through social media networks, emails and blogs Digital culture enables people to participate actively in digital media Participation in digital media enables individuals to be open to the benefits that progressively circulate in digital media as they become more incorporated into daily social, cultural and economic life It also enhances personal knowledge and understanding about digital technology.
