Digital technology has transformed the communication in a better way today. a) The invention of cell phone makes it easier to talk with someone instantly, since the cell phone become smarter and faster. 3. Digital technology can better organize workflow and increase efficiency. a) Many offices technology can save time and speed up the process, such as filing and typing documents on the computer is easier and faster than handwork. b) Applications can help to conduct and correct information more accurately.. Obviously, businesses benefit from the advancement of digital technology. c) Digital technology effectively supports education at school. 4. Digital technology tremendously extends the altitude of control over location and time. 5. Social media are “social robot”. In her view, digital technologies will have negative impact on human social behavior, which may lead to devalue and disconnect one another. a) The interaction on social media gives a prototype of social communication for youth before they enter to the real world. Introduction: With the development of digital technology, the world today is saturated with of multiple digital communication and interactive devices. These digital products are smart and convenient; people benefit from the advancement of digital technology can make our work and lives easier and more efficient, or bring us more entertainment (Ludtke 1). In fact, digital technology affects constantly throughout every aspect of our lives; they are powerful tools used in connectivity to improve communication, business and education. Digital technology has transformed the communication in a better way today. Mobile devices and Internet are powerful and convenient tools of technology that people use mostly in connectivity. Such technological devices allow people to easily reach someone far away even on the other side of the world. Like typing an e-mail on cell phone or computer just take a minute sending to someone. In the contract, letter in handwriting may take few days to send out. The invention of cell phone makes it easier to talk with someone instantly, since the cell phone become smarter and faster; we can use instant message communicate with someone or even a group of people simultaneously (Ludtke 1). I feel cell phone take a very important part in my live; I would not able to carry out my daily schedule without my smart phone because I can use it immediately talk or text to someone in need. Furthermore, many social media like facebook and twitter are now an essential part in our lives, which provide a platform to catch up friends and meet completely new people on the internet. As digital technology offers powerful function in communication, connectivity is becoming easier and faster that can extend the latitude of control over the location and time. Digital technology can better organize workflow and increase efficiency. Business connectivity is very important nowadays, people not only need to communicate in the same workplace but often interact with people in different locations. In this case, besides phone or e-mail, business technology as if video conferencing, social media, and virtual meeting allow business to connect each other ignore distance. It reduces the time and cost of travel as well as enables business to target wider and various customer. Digital devices are widely used at workplace because it effectively increases productivity. Many offices technology can save time and speed up the process, such as filing and typing documents on the computer is easier and faster than handwork (Ludtke 2). Applications can help to conduct and correct information more accurately. In fact, many companies offer their employee personal devices such as tablet and Smartphone so that they govern the process of working. Based on the data collected by Teknion, an agency design firm, over 80 percent of firms offer their employees personal devices and approximately 90 percent of corporations propose to increase their investment in productivity. Obviously, businesses benefit from the advancement of digital technology. Digital technology effectively supports education at school. For college students, it is understandable how digital technology affects school life. Digital devices are widely use in campus, not only students, but also faculties and professors. Such as tablet and laptop are mostly used because these digital devices allow for instant information research as long as connect with WiFi. I have been experienced the benefit of my tablet that easily done a quick search before exam. Professors also rely on digital technology for teaching, such as showing lecture notes or video on projector, giving out announcement and course material through digital blackboard. The digital technology tremendously extends the altitude of control over location and time. A survey from Advanced Placement (AP) and National Writing Project (NWP) shows that digital technologies provide much way to students for learning purposes. Nearly 80% of the 2,462 teachers who are participated agree, “Digital technology allow students to share their work with wider and more varied audiences” and “encourage greater collaboration among students.” A glaring example is online tutoring, student does not need to meet a tutor in person, and they can connect with each other and interchange the works through the internet (Ludtke 2). This way, digital connectivity improves the quality in education because it offers fast and efficient ways. Sherry Turkle, Professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, describes digital social media such as texting, e-mail, Facebook are “social robot”. In her view, digital technologies will has negative impact on human social behavior, which may lead to devalue and disconnect one another. It is true that people spend much more time on internet; however, it does not hinder people social capability. The interaction on social media gives a prototype of social communication for youth before they enter to the real world. Furthermore, social Medias provide a platform for people to exchange and share information while connectivity (Ludtke 1). For example, many people use Facebook or LinkedIn when looking for a job, these social medias allows people to keep in touch with companies and person for various purpose. This way people can communicate each other like in real time and able to learn and improve social skills. Therefore, online interaction actually enhances real life social capability. Digital technology is ubiquitous used in every aspect of people’s lives; they make our lives faster, easier and more efficient. Without doubt, almost everyone benefit from the advancement of digital technology. Despite people nowadays spend much more time on internet than interacting person in real world, it does not hinder to learn and improve social communication skills.
