Small local retailers can text customers in broadcast, this is efficient and will go viral within seconds because most people are always on their phone (Berney, 2010).The use of Facebook is another way that a small local retailer can use to promote their business and even pass information about their business. Tagging of photos of the individuals place of work is important this will inform people about the business.

In conclusion, mobile marketing can help reduce the risk of losing customers, whether a small local retailer is using a smart phone or a cell phone, they can send promotions of discounts and hence maintain their customers, it also helps acquire new customers when the customers forward the texts to their friends.
