Challenges of Studying Integrated Marketing Communications Studying the Medill’s Integrated Marketing Communication program has many advantages to students who take this program. Despite these advantages, I will go through many challenges as a student who wants to enroll in the program at Northwestern University. The main challenge I will encounter while studying this course will come during my study on the Contemporary Global Marketplace and my lack of experience in it. This course will involve a contextual learning in a global context.

Even though this course will mainly be based at Northwestern University, I will be required to make several trips to many parts of the world in an attempt to undertake intensive business research. Due to my lack of experience in working with experienced people in this course that needs intensive traveling, I will face a lot of challenges. In this case, I will find it hard to meet my course mates to share their course experience with me since I will spend most of my time travelling. Like for last year, students taking this course travelled to London, Tokyo, Beijing, Paris and Shanghai.

Even though the global research trips will help me in gaining deep contextual knowledge about the growing and quickly evolving global marketplace, I will face a lot of challenges in the process (Northwestern University). The main challenge I will face is studying with a group of people who already have full time job experiences. It therefore means that I will have to find other means of meeting them in class since they only enroll for part time classes. In this case, I will have to cooperate and discuss with them matters related to course work.
