During the period of neuroscience research, I was deeply fascinated by the amazing complexity of human brain. The brain is like a magical network; every part of the brain is in-charge of certain functions. The imbalance of one neurotransmitter can cause chain reactions and therefore induce serious symptoms. In spite of the rewarding nature of research and my love for science, I felt that I was not comfortable with making only research as my lifetime career. I became more enthusiastic about attaining knowledge in the domain of neurological diseases and exploring the mystery of human brains; this led to an increasing desire of becoming a doctor to face real patients and relieve their pains.
Not long after having the thought of pursuing medical education, one instance became a turning point in my life and really made me determined to become a doctor. Last year when I was studying in the library at my campus, a man started having seizures. His body started trembling excessively and sweating; his face also began to twist due to the extensive degree of pain. Luckily there was a doctor on the scene; she stepped into the situation and started a series of procedures to reduce the pain of that individual.
I could not forget that incident for numerous days. I couldn’t stop admiring the attentiveness and professionalism of the doctor who proved to be a savior for that man. This incident was enough to make me realize of what I want to do in my life. Alongside research, I want to pursue medical education and become a doctor to help people in their sufferings. My experience in medicine research helped me attain effective research skills and trained me to become a patient person who pays attention to details.
My strong basis in science and development of skills for research activities will prove to benefit me in the acquisition of medical education. Moreover, I believe that any profession that involves direct human interaction needs its professionals to possess the qualities to manage the presence of multiculturalism in an effective manner. I have had the opportunity to acquire education in different parts of the world. I received my high school education in New Zealand. After graduating from high school, I spent over one year traveling across New Zealand and China to experience different cultures and traditions.
After the long travel, I started my college education and spent the next six years in America; the country that is well-known for its scientific achievements and amalgamation of various cultures. The experience involved interaction with people from different backgrounds, enriched my life and made me a person with accepting and embracing attitude. I believe my communication and interpersonal skills will be valuable assets in the path to become a good doctor. There are multiple reasons for choosing school name to pursue medical education.
