IntroductionMarketing entails several business activities. The paper focuses on product and place marketing activities. Marketing includes the price and promotion functions. Marketing increases store revenues.Product Doggie Day Care Beats Recession. The video shows the company delivers one product, dog service. The employees make the life of the dogs more enjoyable, comfortable, and happy. The employees create an impression on the dog owners that their dogs will be well taken cared. The business has several employees.

The employees help improve the dogs’ life. With high quality service, the company is able to generate a long list of dog care customers. The employees play with the dogs. The pet owners eagerly bring their dogs to the dog care center. The dog owners admire the spacious dog facilities (Money.CNN.Com, 2008). Bob McDonald, Procter & Gamble’s CEO, insists the customers will prefer the higher priced better quality P & G products over the lower priced low quality competitors’ alternatives. (Money.CNN.com, 2009).

PlaceWal-Mart’s Green Balancing Act. Wal-Mart offers its grocery-based green products in a place where the target customers can easily reach. The grocery is located in major communities. The strategic plan of the grocery is to sell organic food to the community. The current and future customers visit the nearby Wal-Mart branch to purchase Wal-Mart’s several organic food alternatives. The company cares about sustainability. By prioritizing the marketing of green products, the company is able to achieve its sustainability goals.

Consequently, people who need the healthy food sources are able to travel to the next block to purchase another vegetable product (Money.CNN.com, 2010). Further, Supermarkets arrange the product choices to persuade the customers to buy more than what they really currently need (CBSNews.com, 2009).PromotionSwagger Wagon/Toyota. The company produces a very persuasive Toyota car promotion advertisement. The promotion includes singers promoting the safety, comfort and other attractive benefits of owning the Swagger Wagon Toyota car.

The singers dance to melody of the song. The promotion advertises the car’s benefits for the Mom, Dad, and children. The male singer represents the child-caring dad. The female singer depicts the wife or mother who feels the car helps the mother’s resolve her determine whether the children are safe. The promotion, advertisement shows the Swagger Wagon Toyota car helps ensure the safety and location of the young child (Youtube.com, 2010). Next, Rosco emphasizes K-9 dogs are used to determine if the cast iron are high quality products (Youtube.com, 2009).

PriceExotic Car Rentals Rev Up. Gotham Dream Cars offers reasonable car rental rates. The company offers several car rental alternatives at attractive rental prices. The cars include the Ferrari and other popular car brands and car models. With the high customer rental revenue, the company’s rental prices are very attractive. The company’s car choices include red, silver, yellow, and blue car models. If the prices are too high, the target customers may shift to renting cars from cheaper car rental competitors.

For the budget conscious, the average one day car rental rate is favorably fixed at only $895 per day (Money.CNN.com, 2009). Stores offer lay away or down payment style pricing to increase revenues (NPR.org, 2009). ConclusionMarketing includes many business activities. Product quality and location affects store sales.
