Extract of sample "Discriminations in Apartment Complexes"

This case is simple but complex. Hence, everybody who deals with it is supposed to be very keen bearing in mind many unanswered questions that ought to be answered. This is because the facts and evidence given by Square Deal Housing are true and what peters say also seems to be true. Hence, I had several questions while working on this case and they included:

  • How will these allegations affect Peters and his apartments if found guilty in a law court?
  • Peters’ lawyer has admitted that actually, allegations against Peters are true thus; will I not be encouraging racial discrimination if I help Peters to solve these allegations?
  • What should I do to help solve the problem at hand amicably without favoring one side?
  1. What do you consider the most useful information provided with the case?

This case has provided very significant information regarding racial discrimination. The useful information is that there is racial discrimination in the operations of many of the city’s apartment complexes. That is, African Americans trying to rent an apartment can expect to encounter race discrimination at nearly one-third of the city’s apartment complexes, according to a city-funded study. Roughly 30 of 100 apartment complexes in the study were found to give “preferential treatment” to whites over African Americans who sought information on apartment availability and price.

  1. What assumptions did you have while working on this case?

Regardless of evidence provided or allegations placed against an individual, all suspects are innocent until proven guilty. Thus, despite the fact that all facts and evidence are pointing towards Peters, my assumption while working on this case was that as far as Square Deal Housing had evidence against Peters, Peters was innocent until when he will be proven guilty by the court.

  1. What tool(s) did you use in analyzing the information?

In order to analyze this information, I used Box and Whisker Plot as the main analysis tool. Box and Whisker Plot is a data and information analysis tool used to show and analyze multiple sets of variation data on a single graph.
