It involves the activities of educating tourists and the provision of funds for the purpose of the environments preservation (Frisch and Johannsen, 2004). The major purpose of carrying out these activities is to aid in the protection of nature and to empower the locals politically. It also assists in fostering the economic growth of a country and the reverence for the different cultures along with the right’s of humans. The major aim of eco tourism is to preserve nature so that the coming generations can enjoy environments that are safe and habitable (Fennel and Dowling, 2003). Tourism on the other hand is the activity of organizing the commercial operation of vocations and places that are of interest to the visitors in an area. Most people view the process of making improvements on the environment as the duty of the local authorities, the nongovernmental organizations dealing in protection of the environment and other profit making organizations dealing with the matter. Eco beaches are those beaches where environmental protection efforts have been done on them to ensure that nature, the community and the visitors all benefit. 1.1 Background information The importance of ecotourism has been put to consideration by different environmentalists who desire to conserve the environment for the coming generations. Their efforts focus on the charitable sustainability of our surroundings. Tourism entails visiting areas where flowers, fauna and artistic traditions are the major appeals for commercial reasons (Zeppel, 2006). The major goal of this practice is to enhance the tourists views on the impacts of mans activities on his surroundings. It also aids in enabling people to appreciate their natural homes better. Among the activities that these programs carry out aim at reducing the harm tourism causes on the surroundings and enhance the artistic honor of the locals. 1.2 Justification There is a great need to protect the environment from degradation in order to sustain the lives of that depend on it. Tourism is a vital income generator for many economies around the globe. The conservation efforts that the authorities and other nongovernmental organizations take along the beaches help to preserve marine life and promotes the creation of safer environments. The income that comes from tourism is useful in financing various sectors of an economy along with boosting the growth prospects of a nation. Tourism is also a major employer in various economies and helps support the livelihoods of many homes (O’Connell, 2003). Without the support from these sector, the poverty levels among various communities will be on the rise. Protection of the environment is also vital for the purpose of conserving marine life which is a major attraction for tourists in the area of Kimberly. The preservation of nature will enable the generations of the future to enjoy nature in its perfect form. 1.2 Wants and needs of the international target market chosen The international target market of choice for the beach eco tourism operation at Kimberly are visitors from all around the globe. The visitors to the beach all come from different cultures with different convictions, approaches and values to life and nature. The chosen international market requires to be in a safe environment with fresh waters. They also require high quality and safe supplies of the products on offer from the beach resorts they visit. There should be provision of adequate and standard accommodation to handle any number of visitors who decide to visit the beach. Provision of all the adequate amenities in the visitors accommodation areas should be put into consideration before advertising the premises. The wants and needs of the target market should enable the management of the tourist operations to determine what to produce. The production of goods and services should be aim at conserving the resources available. This will in turn ensure there is sustainability in the production and supply of the goods (Honey, 2002). 1.3 Tourism Product/Service The Eco beach resort offers a variety of products ranging from housing, food and appropriate locations for tourists to enjoy the services of watching birds, whales and turtles swim in the sea. Tourism products are the facilities on offer for enjoyment from a tourist site for the foreigners and locals who are willing to visit these sites (Abravanel and Miller, 2011). Tourism services on the other hand are the types of help that the tourists visiting a country get from their accommodators (Zeppel, 2006). The tourism products and services are the core of tourism in any country. Without these facilities there will be no visitors to a country hence their preservation is of a high priority for many governments. The products and services on offer are all applicable to the tourists visiting the area. The products will be finer than our competitors to ensure the business builds a competitive advantage over them. The types of accommodation on offer ranges from villas, beach and broome houses and tents. The resort also offers dining and facilitates for holding functions. In addition to the above products, the services of yoga and massages are also on offer. The availability and affordability of the products and services will ensure that the business operations run smoothly and profitably. The production of these products and services will also be done while considering their effects on the surroundings. 1.4 Place This refers to the location that one can find a tourist site. The location of the site should be accessible to all visitors through the use of various means of transport for the efficient performance of the tourism operations (Abravanel and Miller, 2011). The site should also be secure and habitable for all the types of animals and people living in these areas. The place in reference to marketing should be affordable to the target market for the purposes of ensuring that many tourists come to the site. The tourism products and services selling directly to the tourists though the use of sales people will bring additional benefits to the business. The management of a business should carry out regular reviews on the location of their business to ensure that the customer’s needs are effectively met. A change in the location of a business can easily result in increases in the volume of goods they sell along with their incomes. The management of the resort does offer several forms of transport for visitors visiting the site. Among the methods on offer are buses, helicopters, small private cars and boat rides. The choice of the transport mode that a visitor wants to use depends on their budgets and preferences (Honey, 2008). The management should employ means of transport that aim at preserving the environment. This can be done by using methods that release less harmful elements to the surroundings and whose use helps in their conservation task. 1.5 Promotion This is the process of informing and manipulating your customers concerning the purchase of products and services that a business deals with. It also involves the methods that a business intends to use in marketing and selling the goods to the customers (Shaw, 2007). Changes that a business makes to the methods of promotions it uses can easily lead to the occurrence of radical changes in the earnings of a business. These changes can include a growth in the businesses profits or losses. The tourist sector should continuously adopt a variety of ways to use in the sponsorship, advertisement and sale of their products and services. This is because the methods in use quickly become out of date and cease being effective. (Abravanel and Miller, 2011) This justifies the use of different methods over a period of time in advertising and sponsoring of your products and services. The promotion design to be put to use by the resort will include the activities of private selling, the use of adverts, promoting of the sales, marketing directly to the visitors and attaining publicity. The management ought to decide how much money they are to use on each method. The objectives of the design can range from increasing the sales, acquiring acceptance of new products into the market and the building of a corporate picture (Abravanel and Miller, 2011). There are basically three general objectives of having promotions in a business. These objectives are the presentation of information to all parties who are of interest to the business, increasing the demand for their products and services along with improving the visitors’ ability of differentiating between products. The use of promotion in the eco tourism operations of the resort helps to increase their customer’s awareness thus they easily get their cooperation. This in turn ensures the smooth operation of their efforts. 1.6 Price This is the worth or value of a certain product or service that a business charges for offering to their customers (Buckley, 2004). A business should perform regular reviews and cross examinations of the prices they charge for their products and services. This helps in ensuring that the prices remain appropriate to the current economic situations their target market is experiencing. The profitability that a business gets from their operations does not always substantiate the efforts and resources the firm utilizes in production. The raising of prices can cause the business to lose customers but still generate profits from the existing volume of sales. Prices can also be evenly spread out over a certain period of time while you charge interests to act as a cover for the loss of cash reception. The prices that the management of the resort decides to charge for their products and services should reflect the results of the interaction between the forces of supply and orders. In determining the prices that the business wants to charge for their products and services, the management also has to consider the costs they incur in producing these products. The prices that the eco tourism business charges should include the costs going to the preservation of the environment. This will ensure that the resort remains profitable despite their involvement in charitable activities. 1.7 People These include the people who interact with the business within it and outside to enable the activities of selling and making of marketing plans (Abravanel and Miller, 2011). The management’s should possess the ability to select, employ and hold on to people with the appropriate skills and aptitudes. In considering the people who participate in a business, the duties and responsibilities of each person should be made clear. For a business to achieve success, it ought to assign the right people the right job. The management should positively identify their target market, ensure their satisfaction and improvise ways to keep the customers to the business. The products and services on offer for the customers should be those that the customers are willing to and have the ability to purchase. The personnel that the management employs should go through their training courses to ensure that they handle their customers appropriately. The training on offer should be appropriate and should also begin immediately a worker gets a job. The management can employ different types of salesmen to aggressively advertise their products. They can employ product deliverance salesmen and saleswomen to take their customers orders. The presence of a centre for customer services enables a business to receive their customers complaints and offer them various forms of support. The eco tourism activities of the resort will advance and become more effective as a result of using personnel who have the appropriate qualifications (Honey, 2008). 1.8 Process This includes the series of steps that a business undertakes in the production of a certain commodity. In marketing, process refers to the methods and styles of packaging that a business uses (Honey, 2002). The management in a business should always reflect on the packaging methods they are using and assess the levels of satisfaction among the customers. The result of a process reflects the impact of the sets of procedures that the management uses. Processes can be labor or capital exhaustive and the management should appropriately decide which method to use so as to maximize their returns. The results the business achieves from using various processes will result in different types of outcomes (Honey, 2008). The process in use should aim at producing goods which adequately satisfy their customer’s needs and are affordable to their target market. The employees of the business should all be able to comprehend the processes the business uses to achieve their set production targets. The eco tourism operations of the site will advance as a result of using processes that help in preserving the surroundings. The understanding of these concepts by the employees helps the organization in saving their time and resources. These resources can be put to use in other activities that advance their preservation agenda’s. 1.9 Physical evidence This refers to the ability of the customers to physically touch the goods and see them. A business should grow the habits of continuously thinking about how their customers view the business products (Abravanel and Miller, 2011). The positioning of the business products along with the views people have on the business and their goods greatly determines the triumphs a business will encounter. Physical evidence is currently playing a vital role in the modes of advertising businesses are using. This is because they help in creating a more vivid picture in the visitors mind concerning the uses of the goods and services on offer. The physical presence of the commodities enables their customers to verify their quality and features application to their uses. The eco tourism operations of a resort advance greatly as a result of the management’s display of their concerns and objectives to customers and the public in general. This assists in sensitizing the customers on the importance of their preservation efforts while increasing the sites profitability (Shaw, 2007). 2.0 Recommendations The management of the beach resort should sub divide the responsibilities for the various activities they handle among their employees. This should be done by allocating tasks to the personnel who have the appropriate qualifications. The application of more funds and attention from other organizations in the economy would greatly enhance their efforts of preserving the environment. The organization should also employ teams to specifically deal with the issue of the environments preservation to advance their concerns more keenly. The partitioning of the tourist site into two regions will enhance the efficient management of their conservation efforts. I would recommend that the division of the site be done for the purpose of separating the animals and humans land. For the purposes of increasing the regions size to accommodate more features the management should purchase more land from the neighbors. They should also make arrangements for the locals to find alternative accommodations in other places that are habitable (Diamantis, 2004). I would recommend that the authorities come up with more stringent measures against poachers and hunters who kill animals for commercial reasons. Their activities greatly hinder the conservation efforts that the management takes. The irresponsible dumping of waste materials should be made illegal with the culprits receiving harsh punishments for degrading the environment. The inclusion of the locals of the region in their efforts should be a priority since their efforts can greatly advance the objectives of the preservation efforts. In addition to these procedures, the management should always ensure that they balance their budgets to evenly cover their efforts (Honey, 2002). This is because the distribution of finances across various departments will ensure a balance in development across all sectors the business indulges in. 3.0 Conclusion The management of the resort has made great advances in conserving the environment around them. They however need more finances and the assistance from the authorities on the control of waste dumping. Adequate laws should be put to use to curb this vice and heavy punishment put on the perpetrators of these acts. The preservation of nature should be a priority for everyone since its degradation affects us all. References Abravanel, L., and Miller, L., 2011. Frommer’s Florida 2011.
