There appears to be an encompassing misconstruction of the state of OSM linked with the conceptual of the decision by the majority of those charged with the responsibility of making the decision within the construction industry. Therefore, this has resulted in a demand for guidance on the decision making processes for building project managers and other leaders at early stages of the OSM. Selecting a construction method for a building project will need maximum decision strategy that entails careful comprehension, evaluation, and measurement of various decision factors, which can have the most impact on the efficiency and success of the decisive action undertaken.

The paper will look at offsite manufacturing and the underlying process under project management. Off-site construction takes place in a manufacturing plant definitely designed for this kind of process. Individual modules of the construction are constructed in the factory, which will be further transported to the site on particularly designed trailers. Therefore, the paper will further look at the cores of offsite manufacturing as a process in the construction industry, which will allow for a better understanding of this concept as applied in the building industry.

On the other hand, the paper will examine the aspect of project management in relation to the strategies that are used in off-site manufacturing. The paper will also examine the possible business model that is applicable and the management strategies that are required to accomplish the new model in construction. Furthermore, the paper will study the possible risks that can be experienced while undertaking the project and its remedies. Lastly, possible recommendations will be outlined in ways the management through project management can undertake new construction model that is offsite manufacturing model.
