Personal Time Management is an organized application of stratagems based on common nous approaches. It necessitates little effort, nevertheless; it encourages efficient work callisthenics by spotlighting wastage consequently contributes to effectual use of time by concentrating it on one’s preferred activities. It is fundamental to note that, time management involves numerous activities, which include time for effectively developing the skill of time management. List all the things required to be done, emphasize on prioritization of tasks and try to complete each one of them as per the time set against each task (Claessens, 113). This study endeavours to test time management by use of the theoretical models, which involves close examination of processes of execution and consequent planning of routine work tasks. An elaborate way of identification of issues, which may require time management solution, enhances efficiency in time management. Four letters (PODS), where P implies prioritization O means organization, D for discipline and S for systems can simplify the time management. This study reveals that, prioritization is the real first step in time management. This study reveals that, the time management involves five stage-processes. The stages include setting priorities, analyzing, filtering, scheduling and executing. This process proposes the use of designs and trainings, which can be applied in both the public and private sectors to achieve time management goals (Claessens, 112). In addition, this study entails content of the basic skills required for time management and the skills requisite to curb barriers towards time management, which include procrastination, distractions and interruptions and email management. It is imperative to note that, setting priorities is a fundamental element in attaining efficient level of time management. It is essential to notice that, if priorities are well selected, time is well planned to complete the tasks (Mecan, 384). The prioritizing stage should be done based on first listing the most essential tasks, critical and optional tasks. It is significant to note that, the essential tasks are identified by the highest yield or return upon time investment on it. On the other hand, the optional tasks are identified by their indefinite completion deadline. Effective achievement of goals and objectives is based on the effective time management. In addition, this study reveals that, delegation of duties and building effective productive meetings to avoid unplanned meetings, which may cause time wastage. Consider the graphic chain representing time management process. Chain of time management process This review indicates that time management has been accepted as vital for success in various fields consequently diverse practical techniques have been formulated for improving management of time. Although the behaviours reinforcing time management are widely accepted, only a modest quantity of study has been done on the subject. Moreover, “research prior to 1990 tended to focus on measuring the effectiveness of time management training as an un-dimensional construct (Mecan, 382). The results from studies have revealed that the effective time management helps in productivity and the perception if controlling time is an essential component of time management. People who are able to manage time appear to prefer organization and planning. This research attempts to present a process representation for time management. The process model suggests that providing training for time management leads to setting priorities and goals, enlisting and scheduling of activities and organization of work, which in combination lead to better acuity of having a control over time and the outcomes of it include increased job fulfilment and performance and reduced tensions induced by job and body. Assessment of the trail coefficients proposed that, although time administration behaviours were a bit valuable, time management guidance had diminutive control on whether respondents affianced in these behaviours. On the other and, some side way chores forms a greater percentage of time wasting. Consider, procrastination, which occurs when, there is a significant time amid when people plan to do a job, and when they truly do it. These indicators may include Filling one’s day with less priority tasks in the “to do” list. Reading e-mails diverse times without initiating working or deciding what needs to be done (Mecan, 384). Setting to initiate a critical work, but end up in doing a daily chore. Some of the causes of procrastination include an unpleasant job. It makes an individual postpone it for other works that may seem pleasant and perfect consequently possess underdeveloped skills for effective decision-making. It is noteworthy that, the impediments to the effective time management can be controlled or avoided all together. For instance, the adoption of anti-procrastination strategies like getting organized, formulating an action plan to execute overwhelming tasks and rewarding oneself for doing unpleasant tasks is a sure technique of utilizing and managing time well. In summary the sure way of effective time utilization involves concentration on being effective, from the assessment schedule, the red activities are needed to be either minimized or avoided (Mecan, 383). The other’s work is prohibited unless and until it does an individual desire something. In addition, effective delegation, meetings, decisiveness, realistic promises learning to avoid undue responsibilities should be wisely utilized. This study has established that, the term Time Management is a misnomer. Time cannot be managed, but events in life related with time can be managed (Mecan, 385). The importance of time is well reflected by the author, as much like money time is both valuable and limited: it must be protected, used wisely and budgeted. Findings of the study The findings suggest that the behaviour attributed to effective time management leads to better acuity of time control, superior health, and enhanced job satisfaction while decreases the job stress. However, the effect of such behaviour on academic and work performance is not clearly identified (Mecan, 381). This study reveals that, time management training enhances time management skills, but learning the skills does not instantly lead to improved performance. This review helps in the creation of a vivid view of expected outcomes of time management. Reviewing diverse measures, numerous authors conclude that, a universal attribute of the time management measure is the inclusion of instruments that take into consideration the planning behaviour. More over, this study has revealed that, the results of past studies were consistent in indicating evidence of optimistic effects of time management on a professed control of time, job satisfaction, and unenthusiastic effects on job-induced and somatic tensions. Furthermore, the perceived control of time was found to be allied with higher job fulfilment and the relation amid time management and numerous outcome variables. Solutions to the study problem Human Resource development is helping students for training prototype to present the plan to ensure the effective and smooth delivery of the Time Management Course to students. This aims at verifying the course delivery format to ensure that logistics and management issues are avoided or minimized. As shown in the development stage of this training prototype, the course is aimed at college students in order to teach them time management skills. References Blair, Gerard M.
