Extract of sample "Organization Behavior"

Organization behavior is an inevitable term in most organizations that have the urge to perform in the best way possible. As such, the term has continuously been used in diverse ways with different definitions to give guidance on how organizations should behave. In a general sense, organization behavior denotes a particular field of study pertaining to the impact that individuals, groups, and organization structure practices in reference to behavior. This behavior further contributes to the improvement of the organization once there is a total circulation of knowledge from the three sections (French, 2011, 6).

Apparently, this special discipline is said to use scientific methods to unearth the diverse kinds of knowledge that emanate from observing the behavior of individual or groups from within the organization. In essence, people are said to behave differently even in the same situations.1 In light of this, managers with theoretical knowledge about human behavior are usually in a better position to predict the behavior of individuals or groups who are in most cases employees in their organizations (French, 2011, 7).

 Dependent variables include productivity, absenteeism and job satisfaction. On the other hand, independent variables include variables at individual levels and those of group behavior.
