Wellbeing in college College For any human being to function effectively it has to have a positive of mind. This will enable him to function very pretty well within group society or organization. For a student to be effective in learning in school, it has to have a right state of mind. Students who have good mental health are well-adjusted to school community and programs and they are able to relate well to others, and basically feel satisfied with themselves and their role in their undertakings (Michalos, 1993). A great sense of well being does not just come but it is earned, it is not something natural but rather something earned (Michalos, 1993). Students who want he best out of themselves have to develop great sense of well being through learning and developing it. If a student feels that life is no on their side, it is a high time to realize that lack of sense of well being must have contributed to the miseries that befallen them (Cooke, 2002). And the failures to fix things rights by the students should be their wake up call to quickly sprung into action by looking for ways to improve their sense of well being. It’s not just about students feeling well about themselves but also their friends, families, study places and the communities they live in all benefit from them having a healthy, proactive approach to managing their wellbeing. Any wellbeing should be seen from a broader perspective. Good emotional and physical health can turn into an unprecedented serious mental health conditions if wellbeing is not given due considerations (Cooke, 2002). Research has put forward a number of proposals on how students can increase their well being in university. One of the ways is connecting with the people around them e.g. classmates and teachers. Good connection with family, friends, colleagues and neighbors’. They should take sense of well being as the cornerstones of their life and invest time in developing them. Students should always ask themselves whether they share a common interest with their college mates (Warwick, 2010). Building connections will support and enrich their lives every day. Another way students can increase a sense of well being according to researchers is by being active by walking or running (Warwick, 2010). They should always take a walk outside. Nature is good for them in that spending time in green open spaces will increases their sense of wellbeing and relaxation. They should always play games till they get muddy in the gardens, dance even when on their own. When alone students should find a way to talk to their friend family members classmates to help motivate each other (Warwick, 2010). They should also visit libraries to check the activities on offer around as well as searching the internet. They should also not forget to eat a well balanced diet because nutrition is the only way to keeping active both mentally and physically. Exercise is also of essence and makes students feel good while joining others will help them fell connected. They should always take notice and be very cautious and curious. Everything beautiful should not go and always take note of the unusual. Students should also be cautious enough to Notice the changing seasons. They should be aware of the world around them and their feelings (Rugg, Gerrard, and Hooper, 2008). One should also consider the time on their own. They should take time to listen to music chat and other stuffs and one should also take time to reflect. Students in the university should keep learning to gain new sense of wellbeing (Rugg, Gerrard, and Hooper, 2008). They should always have the courage to try something new. Look for ways to rediscover the interest of the past. They should also a time try different responsibilities very much different from the routine ones. They should learn to play an instrument or how to cook a favorite food. They ought to be creative through activities like drawing, composing music, writing poetry, acting, dancing, painting and cooking (Rugg, Gerrard, and Hooper, 2008). Students ought to set challenge they enjoy achieving. Learning new things will make them feel more confident about themselves. Giving is also one of the key elements to gaining sense of wellbeing; doing good things to either a friend or a stranger, thanking people and smiling most of the times (Lovat, Toomey, and Clement, 2010). Student should also in free times volunteer to Join groups that are in the neighborhoods. Look in their library centre for ways to get involved. There seem to be a lot more satisfaction when source of happiness is having worked with the community or for others. Students should therefore test themselves with this. Whether they are managing to keep their life balanced with a good mixture of positive actions.  They will probably feel good from taking control of their wellbeing and will be learning positive behaviors to keep them healthy (Lovat, Toomey, and Clement, 2010). They should take a look at their self’s scores.  Are there areas that they can work on to push their scores up the wellbeing spectrum?  Small changes can make a big difference. Another way students can increase sense of well being among students is by Monitor their Thinking About their Circumstances. Their thoughts about their experiences can influence their psychological well–being more than their actual circumstances. How a student views an event can change their emotional reactions (Lovat, Toomey, and Clement, 2010). The more people can see good things within themselves and their surroundings, the higher their chance of increasing their sense of well–being. Students should Shape their work environment. Environment is known to have bigger impact on the personality. It is all known that emotional stability most likely leads to a downfall in burnout, so? Student can see members of their advising centers as they would a family. There are many studies that look at how good social bonds have the power to increase well–being in members by giving them a sense of being irreplaceable, important (Porter and Coles, 2011). Looking for a mentor also can help guide the university student to a level much higher in matters of well being, the mentor have been through experiences and they are in a better positions to offer the right advice and give encouraging words (Porter and Coles, 2011). Sense of well being is a trait of great value and if one loses it he stood to loose much more both psychologically and character wise. One therefore have to look for ways to raise their sense of self esteem in order to feel encouraged and pick up broken pieces of their life and keep moving forward during trying times.
