Always Andrea - Her personality type according to 'Six Degrees' is a Careerist and a Lifestyler. Mainly because her personality reflects reliability and loyalty which are traits of an employee looking to get ahead on the corporate ladder. She is also a Lifestyler as she keeps to herself may be due to her commitment to family and wanting to spend more time personally or for herself. A good rating at the performance appraisal and promotion that she can look at, down the line in the company along with an incentive pay structure can be a powerful way of motivating her.

She is profiled who can be counted upon and can rise to the occasion to help the team in crisis. Lovely Lupita - This employee conforms to the type of a 'Collegiality Seeker' her characteristics of being social and talking about her family. As mentioned, "Collegiality seekers strongly associate with the team or workgroup and derive much of their identity from belonging to it" "(Barbara 2000) The right way to motivate Lovely Lupita would reward her with a vacation on a cruise, club membership, tickets for traveling with family.

However, due to her slow pace of work, rewards must be time-bound. Making weekly or fortnightly targets will help her increase the pace in which she works and also realize her rewards.Slacker Stan- He can be associated with the type of a 'Personal Developer' his traits are that he is friendly social, doesn't put much effort, distracted and unreliable. The characteristics of a 'Personal developer' mentioned in the 'Six degrees of Motivation' are "They are, very quick to [get] bored, particularly if they are in what they see as a dead-end job.

Although not risk-takers by nature, they are prepared to take career risks if it will stretch them or expose them to a new arena in which they can acquire new skills"(Barbara 2000) Stan will need to be shifted or changed around different products in the team in order to enable him to learn new variants of the product and make him help others learn in the team. A reward program for Stan will be based on his performance and also on the performance of the employees he educates on new products. A small party budget for him for his team members will also serve as a great incentive for Stan.

Quiet Kate - Her personality can be characterized as a Careerist and an Authenticity seeker. Putting in extra hours of work on a regular basis signifies the sacrifices she is willing to make on her personal time with friends and family. Her difficulty in communicating shows that she keeps to herself most of the time and is not comfortable in a group as she chooses to do things her way. Her single big reward would b money and more money a carefully structured result-based incentive plan will help to get the best out of her.

Insurance schemes and saving plans can also be an appreciated reward for her.
