Therefore, this incidence could not have occurred if the current tight laws were in place because some prohibit the access of firearms by a third party (Bowman, 2013). The number of people killed in Connecticut’s school incidence could not have totaled more than 20 people, if Lanza used lesser capacity magazine weapons. Since, the current gun Legislations would have limited both the type and magazines’ high capacities, which citizens ought to possess. For instance, the current Legislations upon their implementation, would have shunned possession of 150 military-style guns by the citizens, which Lanza used to unleash terror on the innocent people (Bowman, 2013).

According to the incidence’s investigators, Lanza was capable of terminating lives of twenty plus people within an extremely short period due to his powerful assault weapons. Besides, the current legislation could have helped shun Connecticut’s shooting due to the increase of constant security patrol in education institutions (The white House, 2013). This is because security personnel could have stopped the gunman at the entrance besides alerting those who were inside the institution. Hence, shun the incidence from occurring by securing children and other people running to safety while the security tussling with the gunman before embarking on using his four guns (Malewitz, 2013).

This is according to the incumbent president’s proposal concerning deployment of additional security personnel especially in both institutions and streets (Fiegenbaum, 2013). Conversely, this is trickier because the gunman would have shot the security personnel while forcing his way into the institution similar to what he did with the first people who emerged to stop him. Nevertheless, the incidence would not have resulted to the termination of numerous innocent children’s lives, suppose there were police officers who would stop or bar the gunaman from entering into the school institution.

The legislation could have been beneficial due to the recent proposals especially by the incumbent president and varied authorities aimed at closing background checks loopholes (Fiegenbaum, 2013). This is by compelling both the stores and pawnshops retailing guns to conduct background checks on all their buyers. Hence, ensuring the buyers once they have made their purchases do not transfer them to any third party, which was the case with the Connecticut’s gunman (lanza). This is regardless of the third party's wishes to have the firearms for either sporting or hunting (The white House, 2013).

Consequently, this will tighten laws meant to ensure firearms do not end being in the hands of people with questionable character or mental status (The white House, 2013). Since, these people once irritated or being unable to deal with their personal problems, result to using the same guns against their relatives or peers for the purpose of avenging themselves (The white House, 2013). The legislation would have also helped to shun Connecticut’s mass killing incidence via innovative safety technology, which the incumbent president proposes (The white House, 2013).

Hence, denying third party’s easy access to the firearm safe. Mainly, people comprising third party constitute family members who may intend to have the weapons without the owner’s consent or anytime whenever they wish. Therefore, this legislation would have compelled firearms’ owner (who in this case was the mother) to have full responsibility of ensuring the guns were safely stored (The white House, 2013). Under this legislation, medical practitioners would have intervened in ascertaining whether the gunman’s family was supposed to possess firearms and their safety (The white House, 2013).

This is because lanza who according to the investigators’ report seem to have started exhibiting queer behavior long before while he was a kid (Malewitz, 2013). Therefore, the medical practitioners would have availed this information to the respective authorities. This is because the latter will compel the guns’ owner to ensure they are safe and inaccessible to the mentally ill members of her family. Besides, the involvement of doctors would have availed substantial information to the guns’ authorities.

This is to ascertain whether the guns will be in safe hands besides ensuring there was no transference to the third party through either carelessness or intention (Malewitz, 2013).
