• Financial Literacy training at the university organized by a group of financial advisers from various auditing firms and companies

Responsible for supporting the closing, reconciling, analysis, and reporting of the general ledger.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Completes highly complex account reconciliation.
• Prepares internal and external monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis.
• Verifies the integrity of monthly results by completing various analyses and interpreting the data.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Requires a BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; 2 - 4 years of previous accounting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• Previous work experience with month-end close processes, account reconciliation and statutory accounting principles preferred.
• Experience with MS Excel and MS Access is strongly preferred.

Possible Changes
I would change my resume to reflect that I have done at least one of the professional courses listed in the job description such as CPA or CMA. Also, I would indicate that I have worked in an environment where I accustomed myself to statutory accounting principles as an added advantage. Finally, I would have reflected on my resume that I have high analytical and interpretation skills in various financial statements. I will then personally visit the company and ask their employees a few questions regarding personality traits encouraged in the company. Also, I will ask the employees about the rate of employee turnover in the company as well as the existence of employee achievement recognition programs. Read More
