I think that the strongest point of this submission lies in the deep insights provided for the characters discussed in the paper. Despite the fact that superficial details were mentioned in the text of the novel, this paper is an effort to read between the lines and offer a deeper analysis of the characters.

Josiah Bounderby is bound by his past life and because of these revelations and he undergoes dramatic changes in the way he is perceived by other characters and by the audience. He cannot reclaim the same position that used to hold when people took his word to the Bible. It completely ruined his reliability and his image.
His imminent death gives rise to feelings of empathy directed towards not only Hector but also his father Priam, who secretly approaches Achilles to release his son’s body.
