Comparison of Beaches and Mountains as Vacation sitesMost employed individuals always face the challenge of choosing an appropriate vacation site. In this period, they look forward to visiting areas where they can enjoy. Mountains and beaches are common choices of most of them. These two places offer a variety of leisure activities depending on their location, and the prevalent climatic conditions. Most people prefer beaches for holiday vacations. This article compares and contrasts these two vacation sites.

Climate is one of the most crucial factors to consider before choosing a vacation site. Mountains are characterizes by cold weather, rain, mist and fog. Individuals who are sensitive to cold weather may find this location inhabitable, hence limiting their fun. However, this climate is favorable for many leisure activities such as mountain climbing, hiking, snow boarding and skiing. In addition, there are plenty mountainous regions that an individual can visit in the world. For instance, Canada in North America has many mountain vacation sites that are full of fun (Plum, n.d.).

On the other hand, Beaches have a warm atmosphere. Another crucial feature is the presence of a sea. These two conditions define the leisure activities that describe this region. Some of the fun activities include swimming, playing soccer and volleyball, and riding water bikes. Also, most beach sites have discos and restaurants for those who would like spend their nights dancing. A good example of such sites includes Acapulo and Cancun in Mexico, which are world famous sites (Pate, n.d.). In conclusion, the choice of a vacation site depends on the tastes of a person, their hobbies and the availability of such sites.

A careful choice will guarantee an individual maximum enjoyment. Some of the most crucial factors to consider while choosing a beach or a mountain for vacation are weather, location and the available leisure activities.
