Neat People vs. Sloppy People - Essay Example

Your full April 9, "Neat People vs. Sloppy People" by Suzanne Britt. Suzanne Britt, in her essay, “Neat People vs. Sloppy People”, has compared and contrasted the two kinds of people in a humorous way. She states that sloppy people keep on making plans inside their heads, about making everything neat and clean, but their plans remain plans, and never get acted out. On the other hand, neat people do not think about how long it will take or how much effort will be put in, and just act. They do not like to keep such things for long which have no purpose.

The funniest thing that I read in the essay was that, a sloppy person sees his desk, and the pile of paper on it, and plans in his head that he is going to clear up this pile by going through it, and the desk will look like untouched. And after several hours, the desk really is untouched. This is how sloppy people delay the happening of things, because they possess such a heavenly plan about things that cannot be acted out in a worldly fashion. I can relate to some parts of the essay. One, when Britt writes that neat people throw away toys and purposeless trash away quickly.

I know this habit of mine which has made my sibling yell at me many times. I have no idea why he keeps broken cars and torn up stuffed toys. So, I threw some of them one day. Second, I can relate to Britt’s saying that neat people keep whipped cream plastic containers. I often keep such containers and hand them over to my mom, so that she can store coriander or stuff like that, in them. In short, the essay is funny yet practical enough for people to relate to it.
