Moral and ethics of business do not matter to him. He recalls his contribution to the progress of the company in the past boastfully and avails every opportunity to belittle the credentials of Williamson, his respected colleague in another department. Williamson is at peace with his departmental work. He doesn't have to handle the pressure of sales. No botheration of dealing with the clients. He executes orders of his superior authorities. He gets a fixed pay. The sales personnel have a grudge against him for his rigid approach to business.

But in this particular case, Williamson succumbs to temptation and falls into the trap set for him by Levene. They both finalize a dubious deal. Williamson breaks the company policy by selling two leads to Levene for 100 dollars. Besides, he will get 20 percent of Levene's commission!
