Levene is clearly very desperate as he knows the people with the lowest sales will be fired from the job, and hence with the desperation, Levene even offers Williamson a 10% kickback on the sales. He tries to speak greatly of Williamson in an attempt to gain his trust and the leads. When all else fails Levene starts to use the emotional touch and tries to get the leads by making Williamson feel bad for him (Levene) and his daughter. When this fails and Williamson is not convinced, Levene uses a harsher tone and tells Williamson that he had a strong say with Murray (Williamson’s boss), since he bought him a trip to Bermuda.

He threatens Williamson with taking away his job. All this for gaining access to the A-list of leads and at the end when Williamson does not cave, Levene agrees to take some leads off the B – List of leads.
