When he was a child, his parents left Japan and moved to Britain. He spent his childhood life in a foreign country, learned their language, and astoundingly became one the most recognized English authors in the world. His works are immensely appreciated by readers globally who enjoy his books. He has written several books, some of which have made him win worldwide prizes. Some of the prize he won was in the year1989 that gave him a top most prize from Man Bookers Prize, and the book that gave him win was called, The Remains of the Day.

Kazuo Ishiguro has written another noteworthy book, Never Let Me Go, which is loved by many international readers. The book will be discussed vividly according to one of the characters standpoint, while the other point of view according to Tommy and Ruth will also be analyzed and the differences evaluated. The author’s writing is in the past tense and the first person. The story in Never Let Me Go is factious, meaning that a lot of drama is expected to be involved in the narrative. His stories are common on how he describes his characters that always have human weakness in doing some tasks given or completing their missions.

Ishiguro uses riveting styles of writing, in which the readers are persuaded to sympathize with the characters that seem to be feeble and incapable to endure an insensitive environment. The author does it intentionally to make his story creative and compelling, leaving readers to request for more. The plot of the story is majorly composed of three characters that play exceptionally intriguing roles in the story. The characters include Tommy, Ruth, and Kathy, who lived and grew up as childhood friends (Jakus, 2-4).

They learnt in the same boarding school and shared many ideas together when they had breaks during school time. The Boarding School was located at a place called Hailsham, and it was an especially competitive school admired by parents from the entire place. The story is written on the perspective of one of the characters called Kathy, although, the standpoint is not impressive. He narrates how they loved and learned to help one another when thinks were getting tough in school. They faced many challenges, but at the end failed to take the appropriate action.

These challenges threaten their friendship that was about to collapse. Kathy takes us through the story of their lives as the narrator of the novel. Their story is full of success and losses while the three young friends face the world with hopes wishing that everything would go well. Never Let Me Go has been categorized as a story of science fiction by the host Ishuguro in the literally world, while some authors oppose the idea, claiming that little actions were involved in the story (Jakus, 2-4).

Kathy narrates the story, asserting how they managed to solve their problems and difficulties, since each person had his own flaws and could not do without the help of the other. The narrative also shows some of the evil acts in society such as greediness, selfishness, and corruption that can affect negatively the lives of the populace. Kathy finishes narrating the story at a low tone, making a reader mentally tormented. Kathy further tells us that the weakness they had individually led to their failure.

The narration fails to take a person to another world such that one can scream when reading the sad part of the story. The above account has been narrated according to Kathy’s point of view on the story, but according to Tommy and Ruth’s standpoint, there exists some divergences. The story is well narrated by Kathy, but it lacked edginess, and at some point, it was boring.
