The Little Prince and Christ The story is about a little Prince who wandered around to seek for answers about life. A seed arrives at his planet and blooms into a beautiful flower. This flower is vain and annoys the Prince so he decided to leave his planet and escape from the flower. The Prince went to an adventure on six different planets where he met the conceited man, the businessman, the tippler, the lamplighter, the geographer, the snake, the desert flower, the garden of roses, the railway switchman, the fox, the merchant and Sahara Desert.

Like Christ, the Little Prince wandered alone in the wilderness. One of the themes of the book is to have faith represented by the fox. This is why the book is said to have the elements of a Christian and the Prince is considered as Christ-figure. The Little Prince is described as a person free of sin who believes in life after death. Like Christ, the Little Prince is fee of sins. At the end, he returned to his star, his heaven. In the story, the Little Prince arrives on Earth during a spiritually troubled phase and stayed there until he has founds his answers to his questions.

Jesus Christ is called the Prince of Peace. He came to earth to die for us and save us. The famous line and lesson from the story which is “What is essential is invisible to the eye” is a Christian belief. The flower represents a sinner which does not get satisfied and craves for something more. The snake in the story dared not to harm the Little Prince because he is so innocent and free of sins. Christ was confronted and tempted in the bible, the Little Prince also met his tempter in the desert.

But the Little Prince is not so much bitten by the snake, it is because he allowed himself to be bitten. Jesus also laid down himself and sacrificed for the people. Like Jesus Christ, the Little Prince is self-sacrificing. The adult pilot in the story represents the citizenry of corrupt age and full of sins. Through the meeting of the Little Prince, the pilot regains innocence and sees through the eyes of faith. Like Christ, he came to redeem the world from sins.
