Animals have been used for many experiments that involved drugs in and mostly the animals that have been chosen in these experiments were chimps, due to their big similarities to humans. Apes suffer from these drugs just because we can live a healthy life, and I know it is now impossible to stop these animals testing, but they will also face a new barrier later on because we will have a lack of apes living in this world in the next years. Animals should be left to enjoy their lives to the dullness without being killed for food or other issues. Humans are busy sentencing each other for the murder of humans, but they fail to see that the killing of animals is a wrong move (Owen 234). The question asked is why we should sentence a human to death because he killed another man while a butcher who has killed over a million animals in his entire. The case should be reviewed because; in both cases, some life has been taken away. To solve the problem of animal rights, the eating of flesh should be abolished, to stop the merciless killing of animals. Death is death regardless of how it occurs and the reasons for the occurrence. The truth of the situation is based on the leaving of the animals to enjoy their lives. Animal rights still remains the key to protecting animals with individual responsibility being the key to the change in the protection methods. The animal rights are vital in the society because the current state of affairs demands a quick response to the problem. From the handling of heavy luggage for donkeys to being killed for food, animals have been used in the society for various reasons. In contrast, human rights have been advocated for by several organizations until it has been understood by the society. The rights and privileges of animals have been abused, and not advocated because of the inability to stage demonstration against problems (Owen 23). Man can definitely live without eating flesh foods but the society today has engaged in eating flesh more than the healthier foods provided by nature. The truth is from research conducted plants offer healthier nutrients than the animal proteins. If the research is true the major question remains, “why do men kill animals”? The question may raise more questions than answer but my personal opinion is animals can be left to live their lives and still humanity make ends meet. The rate of depletion of the How would you feel if your children don’t get the chance to see a monkey or an ape in their lifetime? Apes are endangered and there is a possibility that they won’t make it another 50 years unless we do something about it. Apes shouldn’t get the same equal rights as humans, but apes deserve different rights than other animals due to their big similarities to humans Apes should receive protection in the world, and also should be eligible to receive money from funds and charities. In some countries the constitution declares that only “persons” are allowed to receive money and donations from others, and apes are only considered as a “thing” which prevents them from getting any money. Furthermore, monkeys and apes are becoming endangered due to the lack of natural habitat that they need to live their daily health life in. So by trying to either make a change in their constitution to add apes next to humans to be able to receive donations or they could put apes under the category of “persons” but with special conditions and rights. People argue that considering Apes as “persons” is degrading to the human race, but the issue we are facing is not a matter of ego and pride of a race, but it’s a matter of life for the apes. This issue is a major issue that our world has and it is more than just an ape people are trying to help in Austria, but it’s about all the apes that are living today (Archer 23). Some Scientists say that we as humans we are morally required to help the other species that we ruined their habitats to improve our way of living. Apes are not as smart as humans as it was also mentioned in Griffin paper “only a handful of apes learned to use even a hundred signs”, but they deserve some rights that will make them live a comfortable life. Apes and Especially great apes such as chimpanzees and baboons share almost 98% of the DNA us humans have. The fact that apes are related to humans gives them intelligence and common sense than all other animals. After giving few chimpanzees few different IQ tests, the result was that chimps think like four-year-old human beings, which gives them memories, emotions, and intestines. Watching species with emotions suffer isn’t an ethical thing to do at all. According to “Chimp Facts” 50 years ago chimpanzees were numbered in millions in Africa, and now they almost make 200,000. The Huge Decline in Apes living today in this world caused by reckless hunting and animal capture by collectors around the world. Furthermore, some societies eat ape meat, which makes the hunting in their regions allowed, so many apes in the Far East Asia are almost endangered due to the loose protection laws the apes receive. I myself respect all cultures and societies, and even if they believe that “chimp meat” is a part of their diet, then they should make some laws to stop the reckless hunting and make rules and laws to protect the apes to help them grow as a population, and to organize the supply of the “chimp meat”. The chimp meat is not a healthy food alternative but because the nature of human of greediness, they have ventured into eating the entire animal on the planet which is a wrong approach in environmental conservation (Archer). However, other sections of the world have people have engaged in flesh eating. The consumption of the animal proteins has led to the development of a serious problem for the people’s health. More Americans are becoming obese because of over consumption of flesh foods. Animals are killed every day in a heart touching way that makes the animal rights and illusion. With the animal’s deaths, the major question that can be asked is it worth it? The truth is it is not worth it because the animals must be treated with kindness and courtesy. The suitability of the animal proteins has been questioned in the past with the indication on the effects of the gene modifications, and flesh foods on the health (Owen). The over-consumption of flesh leads to serious problems in health as witnessed in the declining health quality of the American citizens based on nutrition. To solve the problem of consuming the apes, awareness must be created on the dangers of eating primates and sensitization on the impact of eliminating ape from the society. The animals in orphanage must be taken care of properly. The owners need to be careful and take care of the animals better. The most cared for animals are the pets while the other animal is either mistreated or dealt with in a way that does not reflect courtesy and humility. The care of animals has not been considered in the past leading to the creation of animal rights. Just like human rights, animal rights deal with protection of animals to ensure they are handled with care in all the undertakings (Owen 45). However, animal rights have not been able to address the situation of the animals. In conclusion, the protection of apes will be vital if it can be handled with great care. The major challenge in the protection of apes is the understanding of humans on the need to save animals existing on the planet. The success of the whole process will ensure that the apes are protected and their population is improved.
