ID Lecturer Do you believe criminal justice agencies are open systems? Explain why or why not. How will you use this to your advantage to become more effective?Criminal justice agencies are complex systems which are unable to come to terms with the human value chain. This is because there are many difficulties that need to be overcome with the passage of time. The open system philosophy falls short on many counts and efforts need to be made to ensure that open systems are in place. However, this seldom comes about.

Perhaps it is this reasoning which somehow plays a wrongful action within the criminal justice agencies of present times. I can use this open system ideology to my good effect if I know for certain what kind of benefits I can derive from it and how this can be ensured in a viable way (Kenny, 2010). Having said that it would require persistence and constant efforts to bring effectiveness for all concerned. Legal perspectives should be taken under consideration before deciding whether or not open systems will come about or not.

If this takes place, then there is nothing better yet efforts have to be put in to achieve sound results. The criminal justice agencies are dependent on the actions of the related parties and stakeholders because they reign in value in the long run. It can be used to our advantage if criminal justice agencies remain independent and open for scrutiny at all times (Hartwell, 2005). This might be easier said than done, but remains a fact that will bring value at the end of the day. Hence in all fairness it would be correct to state that criminal justice agencies should be open systems to bring in more effectiveness.
