Criminal Justice Communication An interview is a dialogue between a researcher and a respondent in which the researcher aim to get information about what he or she is researching. It involves a list of questions that are supposed to be answered by a respondent. It is a situation in which a police officer interrogates a fatality, plaintiff or a witness. Anna should realize the importance of the interview to the success of the investigation. The most valuable interview that Anna could use is information interview.

This is a type of an interview that is adapted in which the investigator aim to get required information from the respondent. Anna would interrogate Virginia and find out all the information that Virginia have on the drive by shooting (Roleff, 2003)Types of question asked in the interview1. What is your name?2. Where do you live?3. What were you doing when this incidence occurred?4. How is u involved in this incidence?5. How many witnesses did you see?6. Where were you when this incident occurred?7. What happened?8. Where exactly did the incidence occur?9. What caused the shooting?10. How many people were affected by the incidence?11. How many people were injured in this incidence?12. How many people died in this incidence?13. How many were taken to the hospital?14. What did you feel after the incidence?15. Who did the shooting? 16. How many cars were involved in this incidence?17. How many people do you know in the incidence?18. How do you know them?19. Where do you think they were going?20. Which other information can you add about this incidence?

If Virginia was a suspect and not a witness the type of interview technique would change. Information interview would not be used Anna would have adapt another type of interview technique. Panel interviewing would be adapted. Several police officers would be used to interrogate Virginia and come up with the right information about the incidence.ReferencesRoleff, T. L. (2003).
