Pursuing Criminal Syndicates Bioterrorism Threat to the U.S Communities Intelligence believes that it is highly possible to have yetanother terrorist attack in the US. This includes bioterrorism, which has even more devastating causes. Such attacks aim at striking terror and panic among people (Nations, 2010).Bioterrorism entails the use of biological chemicals by terrorists against the people. This threat can be unleashed through delivery packages. The chemicals include the likes of smallpox and anthrax.

The greater threat of this situation is the medical professionals misdiagnosing most of these threatening attacks. This situation presents a dangerous gap that needs an urgent and clearer strategic game plan. In case of a terror attack, the doctors’ lack of bioterrorism knowledge would cause worse situation (Frist, 2009).The other significant concern is the inability of the government to deliver medicines in case of a bioterrorism attack. This situation is worrying since the citizens would lack quick response from the government, to deal with an occurrence of bioterrorism.

There is a lack of adequate response techniques and strategies because of the rapid spread of such outbreaks such as smallpox. The outbreak is also air-borne and has a potential for unimaginable large numbers of fatalities (Frist, 2009).Role and Function of the Police In case Of Bioterrorism Attack.The police plays a significant role in responding in resolving to event of bioterrorism. Firstly, they help controlling movement out and in the contaminated areas. This aims at stopping the spread of contamination (Frist, 2009).

In conjunction with the medical personnel, they play a part in determining the extent of exposure. Secondly, they are critical in bringing in resources needed to characterize the contaminated areas in preparation for remediation. This includes feeding the workers, storage of supply and equipment as well as laboratory facilities (Frist, 2009).Thirdly, the police plays even a bigger role participating in investigating the attacks. This tries to find out the culprits and understand their motives.

This also helps to prevent further attacks from the terrorists by when they arrest them (Frist, 2009).Forms of Organized CrimesThis entails a society, which resolves to violence or criminal activities for selfish benefits. There are various forms or categories of organized crimes. Firstly, there are providers of services termed illegal by law. This includes such activities as gambling, prostitution, and protection (Albanese, 2010).Secondly, there are individual in the supply of prohibited goods, comprising of drugs and pornography.

Another form includes the money laundering businesses. The infiltration schemes in the state structure, as well as corruption among public servants, also form organized crimes. Finally, there is the formally legitimate practice of crime such as crime corporate (Albanese, 2010).U.S Drug ProblemThe country and particularly the communities have seen the ugly side of use of varied drugs. The drug abuse is one of the critical health concerns in the country. This practice has caused multiple sufferings for the abusers as well as their families.

These individuals fail to function as normal citizens thus a problem to the country. These people contribute to the economy deterioration because they are not productive. The increased crime rates are also costing the government lot of resources (Nations, 2010).One of the commonly abused drugs consists of methamphetamine. According to a research done in 2009, more than 500,000 people use this drug in America. It has preferred due to its euphoria stimulants, mood elevations well as appetite suppression.

However, the drug has devastating side effects. The drug causes restlessness, anxiety, paranoia, irritability, and tremors.
