Legal Education Legal education is related to law. The study of law is done by an individual who intends to create a profession for themselves in the field of Law. The person who studies law studies it with the intention to either practice as a lawyer for the society or other than this work as a lawyer for some political party. If a person choses law as a subject for majors then he has either the intention of practicing as a social lawyer or otherwise work in the field of politics or maybe become a business lawyer.

Law degree is considered as an undergraduate degree in many countries while in USA it is not considered so. Once a person has done law graduation, then they have to pass an exam known as the bar exam, through which they are eligible to practice law. Once they have cleared their bar exam then they can choose their own specialization and then continue their practice. It is deemed very important is a person wants to establish himself or herself as a good lawyer with sound background to specialize in certain area, this helps them to narrow down their own field and hence become more notable in a certain area and gain fame or reputation there.

It is also very important that the person enter a certain field, they can then later specialize in other field too. After completing their education a person can practice privately as well as join a firm. Lawyers who join firms have to struggle through a lot of cases which sometime might not even be acceptable to a person if that person has the choice. Once the person starts getting cases, his reputation builds and then he earns a much better reputation and better cases (Reed, United States, 1928). . There are lot of issues if a person plans to adopt law as a profession.

It has been generally seen that people who take up law as a profession have to struggle a lot and also face a lot of difficulty in the whole of their career path. The admissions in good and reputable law schools are highly competitive and students who are very brilliant even fail to get an admission in these schools. Therefore, all the efforts and the money is worthwhile only if the person is studying in a reputable school or has a bag full of good luck to get the right kind of cases that will give a boost to his career.

There is a lot of struggle involved in the career path of a lawyer. Usually the people who choose law as a field of study have a very difficult path ahead, the job prospects are very grim and the situation of the person gets worse when he already has a huge student loan on their backs. Though the admissions are getting tough in law schools, even then some of the success stories are so brilliant that students in throngs are attracted towards the field of law (Levine, 1993). Keeping the growing number of students approaching the field of law, law schools have increased the number of students that they are admitting in their classes.

This has increased the revenues that they are gaining but then again people have started filing for admission. Once the person gets settled and after quite a lot of struggle and hard work the person gets to a point where he starts earning a lot, this is the point which has made it an attractive field for all those who struggle for money. In their point of view this is a field which makes it possible for them to drag themselves out of life of drudgery and poor life standards. To make their careers some of them even start making shady friend who help them gain a lot of money in a much easier way but then again in the end it is reputation that matters in such fields.

Over all it is a very crucial and important field for everyone but then it is also important that students are given better packages which can help them face the struggling period in a much comfortable and better way. There should also be various forums for all the new lawyers who then can end up making a better career in an easier and less difficult way. Studying law has a growing trend and the whole reason is that in the end every lawyer gets to make money in much higher amount then the ones who are at the same stage but in other professions (Society of Labour Lawyers, 1969).
