Effective Speech As per Glenn’s video, his attention grabber is effective as he maintains eye contact and the recommendedtone variations. He raises and lowers his voice effectively; thus, he attracts the attention of his audience. However, there is room for his improvement. He needs to maintain the good attention from the audience for a long time by making more use of the gestures and include some jokes that will entertain the audience. His delivery style is not bad. A speaker who is able to grab the audiences’ attention must have been delivering well.

Though his inflection is not perfect, at least he is beyond average. He is able to stress where necessary. He uses a calm tone at the perfect places of speech but keeps changing it throughout the speech making the delivery style even more efficient. At his rate, everyone is able to grasp ideas. The articulation of ideas is also okay in a way people understand. However, he makes less movement and uses very few gestures and this pulls him quite down. His eye contact and the appearance are okay and efficient.

Glenn’s argument is that to human beings privacy matters and no matter how much people try to deny that they do not require privacy, their actions express the opposite. This is because humans instinctually value their privacy. It, therefore, is part of human nature. People can, therefore, do very little about it. His reasoning and evidence towards his position is examples of people who are well known to oppose the fact that everyone needs privacy. These people ended up protecting their privacy.

He also stated that he publicly proposed that people who feel they do not need privacy to submit their private accessories such as the email passwords to him. However, nobody offered to do so. This is enough evidence that nobody wants to lose privacy. The opposition to Glenn’s argument is the fact that many people think those who express so much privacy are wrongdoers and have a lot to hide. However, the fact is, everyone has things that they do privately to avoid the judging eyes of the public.

There are instincts that make people uncomfortable without privacy. The privacy is required by everyone because it is human nature. He related his topic to me by addressing it directly to the audience that back in our minds we know we cannot do without privacy. We all need to be protected from the judging eyes of many who have opinions that are different from ours. That way I was able to analyze myself and realized that his point was right. His most persuasive evidence was the fact that nobody was ever willing to disclose their private information and security passwords to their emails and other private networks.

His unique facts were that when everyone has the mindset that someone could be watching them, they tend to be more obedient and do the right as compared to when people are in private. To support that point, he quoted sayings from re-known people, for example, a quote that says whoever does not move does not notice his change. From Glenn’s speech, I will take away the delivery style to help in strengthening my argument, content and delivery in my persuasive speech. His good style helps to make sure everyone understands his ideas.

He also tries his best to maintain the attention of the audience. He uses the best tone to drive his message home. This will, therefore, enhance my delivery. He concludes by stressing his central point. The key point is that no matter how many times humans try to deny, they will always require privacy in what they do whether right or wrong. He persuades the audience that they should realize and accept the fact that it is human nature. That is why he gives a quote to drive and stress on his point.

His conclusion was therefore very effective.
