Response to and 2 al Affiliation: Response to and 2 Response to The conversation between student 1 and his mother in an example of a transactional model of communication. Their communication is surrounded by a lot of obstructions. However student 1 and the mother seemed happy after the conversation. This indicates that communication between them was successful. The moods of both student 1 and his mother are influential in facilitating the conversation. I agree with the student’s idea that good moods facilitate effective communication. They are in a happy and excited mood and are able to communicate well. Student 1 claims that the noise from the television distracted their attention a little but did not interfere with the conversation. The student should clarify this. Moreover, the student does not identify any nonverbal communication. In a noisy environment, it is quite obvious that the two would have probably used several facial expressions or gestures. These are important aspects of the transactional model of communication.
Response to Student 2
Student 2 was having a discussion with his friends at the San Francisco Aquarium. The two friends were discussing their previous experiences. Student 2’s friend responded using nonverbal communication when asked if they liked the beach in San Diego. Student 2 was keen to observe the facial expression and gestures of his friend. He noted the wink and thumb up which indicated that his friend liked the place. The success of the communication was based on the ability of student 2 to understand non-verbal communication. I agree with the idea that, the reaction from his friend indicated that he liked the place, and he would like to visit the place again. Their conversation was interrupted by the loud noise of the train. They could no longer communicate and had to get back to the aquarium. Noise interrupts the smoothness of a conversation and can stop conversations. However, the student should clarify if they attempted nonverbal communication during the noise. This is necessary in explaining the transactional model of communication. Read More

... Racism In his article d “racism” Anup Shar describes racism as the act of oppression or discrimination of a group of individuals (basically the minority group) on the basis of their race, skin or hair color, ancestral history, language and their current place of residence. This vice has been highly prevalent in American society, which has highly diverse communities and races. Shar argues that racism occur because of past or current racial status. ...The article Your College Major May Not Be As Important As You Think by Zac Bissonnette talks about the common belief that a person’s economic successis greatly affected by his choice of major in college. ...Response Response The post has played a significant role as it reflects on issues that affect nurses. I concur with concerns that are raised in the post. The various pathways that exist in the profession should be viewed as based on individual goals. The nursing profession should be seen as geared towards achieving the goal of the provision of adequate and quality care to the society. Such people should be driven by a desire to serve and help the society. Therefore, there should not be discrimination to some of the nurses due to their level of education. Discrediting nurses from ADN program should be seen as discrimination. This is because those that go through this program have a passion of providing the required care. In fact... Response...

While a perfectly private space for a heterosexual couple would be a room, it might hold the significance of a public space for a homosexual couple. Alternately, it is when the homosexual couple is on the streets that it might find it completely free from the suspicious and judgmental looks and comments of the people. Likewise, the ideal male-dominated home created by Hefner in Playboy House is a fantasy for most men, but that dream house is indeed a public space in terms of outsiders’ accessibility to and visibility of it.
