Different people have different ways of defining leadership, which makes everyone unique. However, some leaders have a universal view of leadership, which is defined by their values and respect for humanity. These leaders are geared towards making an improvement in the way people live and view life. Many of these leaders have accomplishments and they have records in history as being some of the most remarkable leaders (Lussier and Achua, 2009). For example, Malcolm X was one of last century’s most pragmatic of leaders and his deeds are thus historical. He ensured the world was hospitable, especially to people of color. He traveled the world spreading his teachings, which were to bring equality in the world. Similarly, Prophet Muhammad was also one of the leaders that displayed utter diligence in leadership during his tenure. Prophet Muhammad, as a leader, traveled across the world spreading Islamic teachings. His deeds, actions, and manner of expression made it possible to relate to a large number of people across the world. In fact, Malcolm X was considered the most influential leader after Prophet Muhammad.
Leadership is essentially a social interaction tool where one person is in control while the others extend support in achieving a common objective.
