Is war a solution to settle a problem it never was and it never will. Thesis ment No matter for whatever reasons whenever a war broke out, the losses were far greater than gains. In the name of justice, wars brings no good to any side. Injustice is bound to cause uprising and hamper peace around. History reveals the ill effects of wars and proves that wars never solved anything instead presented the worst pictures of human civilization.Peace around the world has been a big dream for the past few centuries.

If we give a look over the reasons of wars in history, we find it nothing but greed and lust in most of the cases, greed of occupying territories, wealth and power. God created the world and humans drew the boundaries. Sometimes in the name of religion and sometimes to show that one is mightier than the other, wars are always the worst face of our civilization. As we proceed we will discuss the reasons the consequences of war and what is the role of every individual in making this world a better place to live?

The current obstacle in today’s world is terrorism, the biggest threat to world peace. The word terror or terrorism is derived from the Latin verb terrace meaning to cause to tremble. Terrorism is being used as a tool in the name of religion to fulfill political motives or to gain criminal motives. Wars do not bring justice but justice always has the potential to curb the greatest wars. The recent war in Afghanistan boasted to bring democracy in the country and liberate its women, but we see no difference in the state even now, people are still living in terror and most of the people have gained nothing but underwent grief of losing their homes and loved ones.

It’s not that peace is impossible to achieve, people like Kofi Annan, Jim Carter are doing great efforts in this regard but sustainable peace can develop only when it is within the people, the elements who are distracted and hamper the peace are actually disturbed within until they learn to be peaceful within they will always cause grief and misery. The nuclear weapon age has brought human civilization to the extremities of destruction. Terrorism around the world is acting as a hurdle in the way of peaceful coexistence of different cultures around the world.

In this situation, the world remains threatened by the possibilities of more wars and destruction. Conditions worsen when countries involve in solving problems through means of wars. It’s not that the cause of wars arises out of selfish motives and political gains but it is either true that most of the time the scenario is usually this. Peace and justice go hand in hand. Fighting for self-respect, fighting for existence or simply reacting in the same manner to evil actions becomes inevitable sometimes but this does not mean that war is a solution, it is rather always destruction.

On the cost of human lives, the environment, and a huge amount of money, nobody wins a war, in fact, both the sides involved are always losers.William J. Clinton quotes that “The real differences around the world today are not between Jews and Arabs; Protestants and Catholics; Muslims, Croats, and Serbs.
