Dear Family, I know that dogs are not allowed while I live home with my family. However, I suddenly have had a great thought and wanted to announce it to you. I was at the animal shelter and saw a beautiful dog that I fell in love with. I would like to introduce you to Bacon. Bacon is a healthy and safe dog who is a miracle who was rescued from an abusive home. He is truly sensational and remarkable. If he is not adopted in the next week, he may be euthanized. He is house trained, obedient, and very playful.

I want to become a veterinarian in the future and feel that having a dog at home would help me learn how to take care of animals. I am looking to see if you would allow me to adopt this amazing dog. The adoption process will be quick and easy as long as you give me paperwork saying that a dog is allowed within this home. I guarantee that I will take care of the dog and will show you that I have enough money to buy the food and medical care for him. I offer to babysit for more hours in exchange for you allowing me to adopt him.

I really feel that he would fit right in with our family, given that we have many younger nieces and nephews that come visit us on the weekends. All I need is your permission and for you to write a short letter allowing me to have a dog. BACON
