The new system will incorporate the old functions only that the services will be online, where members can book any session and purchase the desired program at anyplace anytime. This document intends to bring into the light a clear status of the project and will therefore include; Construction Iteration Phase Status Assessment, the Project Status Assessment, Transition Iteration Plan, Initial Operational Capability Milestones and User manual. Construction phase iteration Status assessment 1. Summary The following document aims to assess the status of Fitness First Online Management System during the Construction Phase Iteration. It checks the steadiness of the planned outcomes vs. actual results. The main focus is to review the working of the team on tasks, meeting the time frame, achieving the high level objectives and strictly follow the usability guidelines and system requirements. The assessment is based on the feedback gathered from team members, comments from the lecturer, Recap and result marks of the Construction Phase. 2. Objectives Assessment (Planned vs. Actual) The following document aims to assess the status of Fitness First Online Management System during the Construction Phase 1. The main spotlight is to review the working of the team, meeting the time frame, achieving the high level objectives and follow the usability guidelines and system requirements. Outcomes of the Construction Phase Iteration 1 were: From the table, the work items breakdown; it is clear that the project can proceed to the next step having almost all its deliverables achieved. 4. How to work on a project plan, meet system requirements, design a system, and how to work together to successfully finish within the given requirements and allocated time was learned during this phase. For working progress it is essential to manage the time. Planning is the most essential part for a successful project and working as team is a method of Planning. 6. Lessons Learned At the end of the Construction Phase 4 as a team we have learned how to; Design a database driven website Participate in a team Manage work pressure. Project management: allocating tasks, managing time. Develop work item list, distribute work load. Document risks and develop mitigation strategy. Working within the requirements, follow the guidelines. Professional documentation. Prioritize tasks according to requirements, and work load size. Set out and meet time frame for tasks Give importance to team members and their viewpoints Project status assessment The following document aims to assess the status of the whole project at the end of the Construction Phase. It checks the steadiness of the planned outcomes vs. actual results. The main focus is to review the working of the team on tasks, meeting the time frame, achieving the high level objectives and strictly follow the usability guidelines and system requirements. The assessment is based on the feedback gathered from team members, comments from the lecturer, Recep and result marks of the Construction Phases. Until now, most of the main functions were done except 2 functions left namely Advanced Search and search return interface. 2. Objectives Assessment (Planned vs. Actual) This section compares the actual results of the tasks completed during Construction Phases with the planned objectives. Feedback from meeting members is documented so as generate an overview of performance. Table 1 – Planned vs. Actual Tasks. Table includes: Name, Priority, Size estimate, State, Target iteration, Assigned To, Effort Estimate left, Hours worked and reference material. • Priority: order of which tasks should be done first. • Size estimate: an estimate of the time (number are in days) needed to finish the task. • State: current status of the tasks. • Assigned To: members will be in charge of the task. • Effort Estimate left: the estimate of left hours to finish the task. • Hours worked: hours were spent to do the task. 4. Evaluation Assessment According to project plan, all tasks should be completed and ready for alpha and beta testing at the end of the Construction Phase 2. However, based on our plan, we still have one more phase in which we will complete the rest of tasks: Advanced Search and search return interface. . Therefore, we will continue to finish these tasks and also release the transition plan and user manual in this stage. 5. Lessons Learned The following are some of the invaluable lessons from the project; Use different sort of techniques to develop website in .NET and database: Jquery, ajax, LINQ... Combine CSS with Jquery to make effect at client side. Design a website with purely CSS. Project management: allocating tasks, managing time. Prioritize tasks according to requirements, and work load size. Develop work item list, distribute work load. Team spirit Work pressure management Task scheduling Risk assessment and management strategy. Working within specified requirements and guidelines. Transition iteration plan Transition iteration plan will ensure that the software product; Fitness first online management system is ready for deployment on the customer site. Evaluation criteria The high level objectives of the project are the key for the successful completion of the Fitness first online management system and the main aim of this phase is ensuring that; The user is able to search the available fitness classes and register him/herself there Staff member should be able to confirm member’s registrations and search for registers members for a given scheduled training online. Assessment Assessment target Transition Phase Assessment date 20/05/2012 Participants Erdogan, Khan, Syed Project status On going 6.1. Work Items: Planned compared to actually completed Khan and Syed are to handle search functionality. The task for Erdogan, Khan and Syed is that do alpha test and fix any errors come up. All members must show their task on Wednesday 1st June. If there are any errors, other members can help to fix them. Beta test will run as from August 2012 at Fist fitness Centre 6.2. Assessment against Evaluation Criteria Test results The First fitness management information should work to better the services of First fitness Centre. The system should satisfy the following test process; Staff should be able to login into the systems online. Items can be added and updated Member registration should be online and staff should confirm the registered members Members should use add new items functionality Members and staff should have a search functionality that will enable them access their training schedules Initial operation capability milestones The milestones include the schedule of tasks in the next stage, Transition Phase and are as follows; The next stage begins with Alpha Test which all members will do the test on each function. During the test, team members will fix any errors come up. Then, a user manual created which show how to install the system and explain how to use each function in the system. The system will be installed in First Fitness Centre for Beta testing. Staff members at the Centre will be test participants. User manual Introduction First Fitness Centre is a recreational center operating physical fitness, dancing and swimming facilitation and training. Sometimes to achieve those goals and objectives need assistance and support from a second party, this has been the trend with those seeking to be physically fit, trained dancer or swimmer. Currently fitness first Centre uses decentralized management system with each department having records of the trainee and facing the challenges of tedious searching of records, scheduling and rescheduling challenges, updating trainee records, reporting and uncertainty. To address this problem a centralized system for fitness first Centre with a web interface which manages all the departments within the Centre is required. This manual shall be updated later when tasks like user interface, Add/ update item interface and search functionalities are finished and well tested. System requirements The following are the hardware and software requirements for successful access of Fitness First online management system; A Computer with a RAM 1GB or more running on windows XP or later version. Installation Database installation Database will be installed from a Fitness.bak.
