Download file to see previous pages Organizations will use information and communication technology or ICT and make use of the same in order to boost the main business of the company in a manner that leads to the effectiveness of the strategic alignment.  The maturity model in this context refers to the method that is used for judging the maturity level of the organization. That is to say, the maturity model is being used to judge whether the processes that are used and the way in which they are used characterizes an organization that is mature. Maturity models in general consist of a number of phases that help in understanding the way in which IT management strategies are based on computation evolving as time passes. Each of the stages defines a particular level of maturity that is achieved by the use of Information technology and the management of the same in the organization. The following paper analyzes and defines the term maturity model and explains the same through different examples. Finally, the model focuses on using the proposed model in a particular case that is related to e-diplomacy in order to better comprehend the interaction between organizations and the public.

Maturity model
Organizations want to develop and implement effective methods and processes for managing their businesses efficiently. The maturity model facilitates the organizations in improving their business operations by developing best management practices. The maturity model defines a maturity level by which the companies try to achieve for getting several benefits. All the big companies around the world are concerned with their quality of work, cost, performance, delivery of products and services on time, etc. The firms are developing many new policies and plans for enhancing their position in the market. Competition in different industrial segments is increasing day by day. For this reason, most of the companies are implementing a maturity model for shaping up their business processes.
