Website Design and Development: Interactive Features Search Feature Considering that the company deals with a number of products and is concerned with presenting information regarding a variety of technological products, it will be appropriate for the website to have a search feature. The search feature which should be user-friendly is important in filtering searches based on the requirements specified by the user (Kronik Media, 2012). This feature will go a long way in making the process of searching information on specific products easy and fast.

Site MapThe website should have a site map such as Google Map. This feature may be usefull in providing information relating to the business’ physical location. The Google Map in this case will provide satellite and map views of the location of the business making it easier for potential customers or suppliers to access it (Kronik Media, 2012). As a result, the business’ customers will take little time locating the business which in turn may boost sales relative to other businesses that offer the same products and yet cannot be easily located.

Discussion Forums/Bulletin BoardsYet another interactive product that is appropriate for the website is a bulletin board. The bulletin board essentially is a place where people can post messages, seek clarifications and provide responses to other people’s contributions online (Zambagrafix.com, n.d.). Potential customers may also be able to directly chat with the administrators of the website or customer care representatives. Given that the business offers several items for sale, it is worth noting that customers may need clarification regarding specific products so as to make informed choices, for example.
